Hosted a birthday party here and have absolutely no complaints! The staff were so polite and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was delicious and the venue itself is gorgeous. We absolutely loved every second and look forwards to visiting again soon, probably for your afternoon tea!

We say…

The Old Vicarage Boutique Hotel has a fantastic story to tell. Situated in the heart of the town of Southwell, close to Newark-on-Trent and just half an hour from Nottingham city centre, the hotel was formerly a Vicarage linked to the Local Holy Trinity Church up until 1946 when it was sold to the Nottingham County Council who turned it into an respite home for the elderly. In its most recent reincarnation, owner Suzanne Fitzpatrick transformed the old vicarage into a stunning boutique hotel and restaurant that first opened its doors to guests in 2009 and has rapidly become one of the Midlands favourite wedding and occasion venues.

Nestled within just over one acre of rolling gardens, The Old Vicarage has undergone extensive renovations to become a chic and modern venue that combines an eclectic mix of vintage chic and New York loft décor. The dining room is a monochrome affair with chocolate highlights, twinkling chandeliers and comfortable arm-chair style seating. Boasting views out across the garden it is bright and airy during the day time and romantic and intimate in the evenings.

The Old Vicarage only caters for pre-arranged occasions such as weddings, christenings, funerals and birthday parties during the week as well as private dining parties and events with over twenty guests attending. If you are looking to celebrate a birthday or special occasion then The Old Vicarage is the ideal venue for you as the menus can be tailored to each party’s requirements by the highly talented head chef. At the weekends the hotel is open to the public who are invited to enjoy their famous afternoon tea and delicious light bites menus in the contemporary and comfortable restaurant. You can expect to feast on classic British dishes such as The Ploughman’s Platter for two to share, The Vicarage’s famous club sandwich and chicken Caesar salad. For parties looking to dine in the evening, the taster menu offers a decadent selection of locally-sourced dishes to suit everyone’s tastes. A well-stocked bar and luxurious lounge area is also available for enjoying a drinks reception or just a glass or two of wine before or after your meal.

The restaurant at The Old Vicarage Boutique Hotel in Southwell is a real treat for those who enjoy dining in luxurious surroundings. It’s perfect for a special occasion or just as an escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life as Suzanne and her team will look after you from start to finish, ensuring that every detail is taken care of and that you depart feeling satisfied, pampered, and planning your next visit.
