Great food, except for the "mules in batter', really doesn't work.
That said, sea bass cooked to perfection, and the service was great. Good ambience, everything in the pub was immaculate. Strongly recommended.

Had Sunday lunch here and was disappointed. The staff were very nice and welcoming but the roast potatoes were black and awful and the Yorkshire was more like a muffin it was so heavy. The chicken was very tender as was the pork and veg was ok. Our plates were swimming in gravy and the waitress actually spilled some on table as she gave us our meal(not her fault). Again, I was disappointed as went here a while back and it was lovely.

Booked to go into the tollemache for a Sunday lunch, was amazed at how busy it was. My partner and I never realised how popular it must be. Despite their being so many people, service wasn't compromised and the waitress still came over to ask if everything was going ok and if we needed drinks etc. the beef was done superbly and all the trimmings were cooked very well (not always the case at most places for sunday lunch).

We say…

The Tollemache Arms is housed within a beautiful 16th century inn in the village of Harrington, nestled in the idyllic Northamptonshire countryside. Easily accessible from junction two or three off the A14, The Tollemache is perfect whether you're visiting the area or live locally.

Featuring a charming thatched roof and exposed brick work, The Tollemache Arms is an amazing traditional venue that really makes the most of the original features. The restaurant is a unique dining space located at the back of the venue that effortlessly blends heritage style with contemporary features to create a cosy, homely, atmosphere.

The restaurant prides itself on using fresh local produce from the surrounding areas, with all meat being sourced from Waterloo Cottage Farm just four miles from the pub. Head Chef Mark Law has created a wonderful, classically British menu with a modern twist. Head here and try their exciting Tolly Burgers, from pulled pork to chicken or veggie. You can expect to find dishes on the menu such as a local Northampton lamb rump, or Bombadier battered fresh haddock and golden, crispy chips. The venue is also child-friendly and offers a menu designed especially for the little ones that is packed full of their favourite meals.

As much as The Tollemache Arms is about dining, it is also about the drinking and serves real ales and features weekly guest ales, one of which is often from a local micro-brewery, as well as a good selection of wines from around the world. Pop in and try some great food and drink on one of their fun quiz nights, where the atmosphere is always buzzing and friendly.

The Tollemache Arms in Northamptonshire is fast becoming a real haven for relaxed dining, and with stunning views to the rear of the establishment, a visit to this pub restaurant offers a true taste of Northamptondhire.
