We say…

Very much a favourite with the local folk of Greetham, The Plough is centered in the heart of this rural village. Just six miles from Oakham and close to Rutland Water, the pub is able to boast traditional pub food in a picturesque, rural setting.

The friendly and welcoming atmosphere is down to the quality of service from the staff. As soon as you walk in the door, they're incredibly attentive and aim to make your dining experience a quality one. The owners Karen and Mark take pride in their quality of service that the pub offers. The chefs, all of which have a keen eye for detail when it comes to their dishes, use only the freshest and locally sourced ingredients to ensure each meal has a delicious, traditional taste.

The mouthwatering menu will leave you spoilt for choice, starters such as crispy whitebait served with tartar sauce and lemon, and crayfish and smoked salmon cocktail will leave your tastebuds tingling as you head onto your main. The chefs favourites host a variety of quality dishes, including pulled pork wellington with cider and apple stuffing, mash and carrots, or the Grasmere Rutland sausages served on new potato salad and fine green beans. It also features many of the traditional favourites including beer battered haddock and lasagne, so you get the taste of home-made food, without the washing up.

With a quality Sunday roast on offer every week and special nightly offers, The Plough is the ideal place to bring your family and friends any day of the week. The pub is also dog friendly so it's the ideal stop for a bite to eat after a long walk in the rural Rutland countryside, so book a table today!
