Food is always delicious here. Definitely a fab addition to Nottingham. The cheeseboard was great, as are the cocktails.

Wonderful welcome excellent staff informing if the specials I went for it. Fantastic cocktails, the old fashion was perfect! Wonderful ambience when finished our meal went to the bar area and enjoyed the music. Will definitely return. Would recommend for couples mind.

Excellent atmosphere, and really delicious food. Nottingham definitely needed a place like this! Cocktails are also amazing.

Best meatballs I've ever had at The Pelican Club! Good service. Cocktails are delicious. It is expensive, but nice as a treat!

We say…

Located in the quaint and historic streets of Nottingham’s Lace Market, The Pelican Club invites you to experience a small part of Italy in the centre of the city. Its romantic atmosphere is perfect for couples,  and the close location to the nightlife of Nottingham makes it the ideal place to enjoy a meal before continuing on to Tilt for more cocktails or Brew Dog for a pint.

The exposed brick walls and traditional wood tables give The Pelican Club a rustic feel, creating a cosy experience that’s sure to make you feel at home. The candle-lit tables add to the romantic atmosphere, while the images around the top of the room act as a reminder that this is not just a restaurant, but a jazz club too. Cosy armchairs are available for those who choose to enjoy a cocktail in comfort before or after their meal, creating a relaxed environment and the perfect escape from city life.

Offering a true Italian menu which encompasses regional recipes with fresh and local produce, the food served here is sure to impress. Start your meal with a choice of sharing and individual starters, perfect for a variety of tastes. Enjoy a choice of mains, ranging from fresh pastas made in-house and served with a variety of enticing sauces, or tuck into a filling, meaty main by selecting one of the dishes from the Secondi menu such as the delicious Tagliata; aged beef rib cooked to your liking. Don’t forget to check out the chalkboard for today’s specials and be sure to browse the extensive wine menu to find the perfect accompaniment for your meal. The desserts menu includes a cheesecake made by the chef’s wife that enhances the feeling that you’re enjoying a home-cooked meal, alongside desserts cocktails for those who want something lighter. You’re sure to be impressed by the high-quality ingredients and traditional feel of everything served.

The Pelican Club Nottingham’s traditional Italian experience with a twist is perfect for couples and friends alike. The welcoming atmosphere and relaxed menu allow you to shape your own experience, whether you choose to stay for a three-course meal or some cocktails and food to share. If you visit on either a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night, you’ll also be greeted by live jazz performances, creating a truly unique experience.
