Good atmosphere at The Parcel Yard.

What a fantastic dining venue! My first visit to The Parcel Yard completely exceeded my expectations. I loved it. Quaint decor, lovely people, calming atmosphere, and gorgeous food. Great work!!

Highly recommend the Billy pies, beef was lovely and tender, veg cooked perfectly and gravy rich and tasty, would definitely have this dish again.

The food was lovely, the burgers were amazing, nice thick juicy beef and the steak fries were lovely too.

We say…

Situated right next to the train station is The Parcel Yard; a bar and restaurant that forms part of the Steamin’ Billy Pub group. Its close proximity to the train station means that on a Friday afternoon it is incredibly popular with commuters and visitors who drop in for a quick bite to eat pre or post travel.

Founded in 1995, owner Bill Allingham has recently refurbished the venue formerly known as Time Bar to create a more traditional British atmosphere. The restaurant is made up of several spacious dining areas including high bar stools for the casual drinker and antique wooden furnishings for the more formal diner. The décor is quintessentially English, incorporating bowler-hat lampshades and charming rustic décor. The wall opposite the bar is lined with comfortable booth seating that offers a perfect vantage point to observe everything going on in the bar as well as soaking up the atmosphere.

The new surroundings are accompanied by plenty of fantastic offers including real ales, fine British grub and a terrific all day brunch. Diners are able to choose from a good selection of mains and burgers as well as sandwiches and light bites with a few world options thrown in for good measure. Bill is an avid fan of local produce and they often purchase fine meat and vegetables direct from Leicestershire farmers to create the fantastic dishes on the menu.

The venue is flexible and fantastically decorated to make any such event special whether you are looking to host a corporate function, wedding, birthday party or summer event in The Parcel Yard’s garden at the rear. There is a room available for private hire that can accommodate up to 150 people and the team at The Parcel Yard are on hand to help you make your night one to remember.

The Parcel Yard Leicester is a great place for groups to enjoy a fabulous range of foods and real ales. It is a popular venue and therefore if you’re planning to go on a weekend, booking is highly recommended.
