The food was absolutely amazing, I had the Nottinghamshire pie and it was one of the best pies I’ve ever had. Service was very good. The only slight negative was that the music was very loud and there were people stood over us drinking, I’d have liked to be in a more quieter setting but i suppose it was Saturday evening.

Very nice food and drink. Lovely pub.

This is first time we have eaten at The Nedd Ludd in Nottingham; both the service and food was excellent.

    We will certainly visit again.

Many thanks to the team at The Ned Ludd, especially to Sophie who was very helpful with the arrangements leading up to the 25th and on the evening. Everyone enjoyed the meal and the place-22 very happy people! Well done and many thanks

Good offers on with varied menu and big portions, though ordered olives without the bread, didn't get that many olives and still cost the same. Nice relaxing venue. Service was fine, pleasant staff. Toilets let the place down a little.

Food was fine and good sized portions but could make the same or better at home, bit overcooked. Fabulous atmosphere though and great for drinks and hanging out.

Our first time here. Initially we thought we had made an error as it was more pub like than restaurant, but the staff made us feel very welcome and maintained this standard all evening. The food was excellent, visually and taste. The included Mojito was very good and for £25 per head on valentines evening made great value for money. On the downside, the wine was not chilled enough and late on we had to move table's as water was dripping through a light fitting but neither of these issues spoilt a very good evening.

Excellent food, good and friendly service, great and relax atmosphere but a bit pricey to go too often.

We received a warm welcome at The Ned Ludd and we were shown to our table straight away even though we were very early. Menu was explained to us especially the starters which are listed as sharing plates. The Manager was especially accommodating. We were curious as to what he was making behind the bar and he observed this and minutes later a complimentary sample of the Bramley Cocktail was brought to the table, then an apple juice. A discussion ensued about cocktails of which he seems very knowledgeable even though my favourite martini is not listed. What a pleasant person. My meal was free but then as an added bonus and why I don’t know we both were served with a complimentary glass of wine, apparently that was part of the offer, but my understanding was a starter and a main, or a main and a drink. All in all an outstanding evening, affable staff, lovely atmosphere, pleasant surroundings. Would definitely go again for a meal. Have only been there previously for a drink and sandwich at lunchtime...

Stumbled upon The Ned Ludd when walking by with a friend and was so intrigued we went in to have a drink. Ended up browsing the menu and it looked so good we changed our plans and stayed for some food too! We had the coronation chicken wings, crispy ham hock and the Ned Ludd mini beefburgers between us and were so impressed! The staff very attentive and know what they're talking about, so we will definitely be bringing our partners and trying some more of the delicious food on offer in the near future!

I decided to go The Nedd Ludd for a birthday meal as I'd heard about it from several friends and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. From the moment we arrived we were treated to first class hospitality - the staff were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was very lively and upbeat with a fantastic mix of people. The food was much better than I anticipated and the ham hock was especially tasty. There was a great choice of ales and wines, with some excellent recommendations from the staff which helped us finished off our night in style!

Visited the Ned Ludd with a friend for a bite to eat and a few drinks. I was very impressed with the quality of the food here - very fresh and flavourful! As for the drinks - well, the staff here really know their stuff! Such a good selection of ale and cider - the raspberry cider, particular, really hit the spot! Loved the Ned Ludd and I have a feeling I will be visiting again very soon!

We say…

The Ned Ludd is a favourite haunt of Nottingham locals, showcasing fine craft beers, real ales and real ciders paired with stunning, locally sourced, high-quality food. The Luddites knew a thing or two about mass-produced stuff of inferior quality – they didn’t like it and neither do the team at The Ned Ludd!

Showcasing craft beers and real ales on draught, and lots more in bottles, there’s plenty to choose from at Ned’s bar – craft ales will include some exclusive to the bar and cask ales will come from Navigation Brewery and other local breweries. There are no factory made beers here – customers will be guided to something to enjoy both as a drink and as a new experience.  Lager drinkers should love the award-winning craft lager from Camden Town Brewery and craft beer drinkers will get a treat with beers being sourced from all over the world.

The menu concentrates on high quality, locally sourced artisan food, done simply but using imagination with beer, cider or wine matched to each dish. Every day starts with a full breakfast menu followed by afternoon teas, small plate dishes, sharing platters, sliders and large dish selections with something for everyone. Try the famous Sunday lunch, and make sure to stop by in the evenings as the venue is often host to live music and entertainment.

The Ned Ludd also offers a quintessential and seasonal British cocktail list as well as a thoughtfully devised reduced wine list to suit all palettes with free live music in the snug area and the wonderful idea of a proper ale house with a late licence at weekends.

Situated on Friar Lane in the heart of Nottingham, The Ned Ludd invites you to enjoy fantastic food and refreshing drinks in a warm and civilized environment. What more could you ask for?
