Amazing service and food at a very realistic price, one of the best pubs locally

Great deal for lunch time and always excellent food.

    fantastic food

The food that we had was really good, service of food was a little slow and in fact we waited over 30 minutes for dessert and then decided not to wait any longer, which was disappointing as it didn’t appear to be too busy.
Good value for money and we will return.

The meal was booked as a birthday treat. The staff were accommodating and helpful. Good value for money and a great setting.

This was the second visit, first time some time ago, We couldn't remember where initially but eventually found it again. Didn't disappoint good food, good beer and nice staff, will be back.

Nice food in a quiet country setting

Decent food excellent setting and a great value for money lunch menu.

A lovely meal as always at The Manners Arms. Staff efficient, friendly and polite. No complaints whatsoever.

As a family party of eleven , four of whom had dined here before
we were all very happy with every part of our visit. The staff looked after us very well and nothing was too much trouble.
Everyone agreed that they would be reurning again.

Lovely Sunday roast with a huge variety of vegetables. Really good quality and value. It was father's day and very busy so the service was a little slow. It was a hot day so we sat in the garden for a drink which was lovely and had our order taken from there. The Manners Arms is in a beautiful setting and ideal for meeting up with friends and family. I will definitely come again.

    Good food, pleasant surroundings. Reliable.

Much improved menu at the Manner's Arms. Superb service and great value for money. Will eat there again.

Great meal, well presented, staff were polite and attentive, drinks a bit pricey. Would go again.

Really nice meal at the Manner's Arms. We ate in the bar, since there was a private function in the main restaurant, but this was quite acceptable. Staff were friendly and attentive

A tasty mid week meal at The Manners Arms. Lovely old world charm, very quiet. Good value for money and very friendly staff!

We say…

The Manners Arms, formerly The Red House, was originally built for the 6th Duke of Rutland in the 1880’s. Now this historic house has been thoughtfully restored and renovated creating a ten-bedroom hotel and restaurant which nestles in the shadow of Belvoir Castle surrounded by rolling countryside.

The AA Rosette awarded restaurant attracts diners from Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Nottingham with its warm welcome, cosy atmosphere and delicious food. When dining at The Manners Arms you can expect to find a wide selection of modern and classic British dishes, all of which are created using locally-sourced produce. The menu changes on almost a weekly basis showcasing the very best seasonal produce and flavours. With a variety of different menus available throughout the day, including set party menus, delectable a la carte, lighter bar menus and a traditional roast served on Sunday; The Manners Arms is suitable for all occasions where good food, great service and a friendly atmosphere are a must.

When the weather permits, diners are encouraged to enjoy their meal on the spacious terrace which overlooks the garden. During the winter months the blazing log fire and squashy sofas and chairs provide the perfect spot to snuggle down and enjoy pre or post-dinner drinks, bar meals or a pint of locally brewed ale or wine with friends.

With a large on-site car park for customers, The Manners Arms is a popular choice for family reunions and meeting up with friends as well as those keen to explore the local area as attractions such as Belvoir Castle, Belton House and Denton Manor are all in close proximity. The bedrooms are all individually and comfortably furnished. As well as this, the area is also licensed to carry out civil wedding ceremonies and partnerships and is able to seat up to 50 guests.

Offering an elegant yet relaxed dining experience, The Manners Arms in Knipton is one of the most popular restaurants the area and is renowned for its innovative, sophisticated food and attentive yet unobtrusive service. A visit is a must for food-lovers looking to escape the hustle and bustle of town-centre restaurants.
