Staff that were dis-organised and unsure of what to do. Poor quality knowledge of menu which was very restricted. Food was not great quality the homemade steak and ale pie was a dish of watery gravy and beef with a lump of flaky pastry that was under-cooked balanced on top. Small portions overcooked veg and little flavour. Desserts, we all had sticky toffee pudding. So over sweet and soaked in syrup that none of us could finish it. It took us over 30 minutes to get our bill and in the end we went in search of staff to pay it. Wouldn't go again or recommend it unless you were really stuck.

twenty four made us feel very welcome and enjoyed a very good standard of food. was also in a beautiful location which added to the atmosphere. would recomened to anyone
