Mark Bagshaw –
The food was nice and tasty. Service was disappointing, the limited staff kept leaving the restaurant to go to the bar for drink orders.
-
John Bancroft –
Quality of food good, portions small but adequate. We got a good deal otherwise it would have been a little expensive.
-
Nikki Andrzejewski –
Quite expensive and portions were quite small. Quails were very small.

Excellent food, a little overpriced but good for the 50th birthday we were celebrating.

Excellent food and incredibly attentive service. You get what you pay for which is an excellent experience.

Had my birthday party here with close friends and family. Was delighted with the service and the food. It was rather expensive but you do get what you pay for. The staff made sure I had a wonderful evening and I left feeling very full and very looked after.
-
Clifton Johnson –
A reasonable meal, however, was a bit on the dear side.

We say…
The Lawrence restaurant, is located within the trendy 4-star Nottingham Belfry Hotel. Situated just two minutes drive from the M1 and fifteen from Nottingham city centre, it is an easily accessible venue that is perfect for any occasion.
Deriving its name from the English writer D. H. Lawrence, the restaurant offers diners a sumptuous British menu in classical and traditional surroundings. Every guest is greeted by professional and friendly staff before being led to the relaxing Oaks Lounge and Bar where you are encouraged to enjoy a pre, or post, meal drink and soak up the atmosphere. Offering a relaxed yet sophisticated dining experience, the restaurant is perfect for a business dinner, gathering of friends and family, a romantic treat or for celebrating a special occasion and the outside patio area is perfect for a spot of al-fresco dining in the summer months.
The menu offers an extensive collection of popular British dishes with a contemporary twist. The Lawrence restaurant is committed to using locally sourced produce, only the finest and freshest ingredients, and ensuring that every guest receives 5 star service. Our particular favourite to start is the Traditional Smoked Salmon with capers, horseradish creme fraiche, rye bread and lemon butter. Whereas the vegetarians might prefer the Goats cheese and Potato Cake with Honey Roast Beetroot. When it comes to the main event however, we love the Pumpkin Ravioli with Sage Butternut Squash with Sage and Onion Butter. Or if we are feeling like a treat then we would go for the Slow Roast Feather Blade of Beef in Bourguignon Sauce, Creamed Potatoes and Roast Root Vegetables. The Lawrence is also know for its commitment to healthy eating and has therefore created a selection of delicious dishes to satisfy even the most stringent of dietary requirements.
The Lawrence restaurant is a truly spectacular venue that is perfect for any occasion. The menus are reasonably priced for the quality you receive and you will feel like a VIP whether you’re dining or just dropping in for a drink.
