We say…
Pint-sized Castle Rock Brewery pub in historic Lace Market location.
Opposite the imposing St Mary’s Church is a humble pub called The Kean’s Head.
Named after Edmund Kean, the enigmatic Shakespearian actor, this cosy meeting place dates back through the centuries.
Instead of rolling out an extensive food menu, there is a simple choice of Mediterranean sharing platters and moreish bar snacks to accompany your drinks.
The Kean’s Head is one of a string of pubs owned by Nottingham’s own Castle Rock Brewery and serves an eclectic and ever-changing range of independent ales, ciders and lagers, alongside all the favourites.
This modest single room pub is inviting and homely, with bare brick wall and tile giving the impression of tradition, but with modern comfort.
Find The Kean’s Head by turning off High Pavement onto St Mary’s Gate at the front end of St Mary’s Church.
