2nd meal at the griffin, this time with other guests. Beer and food are good but had to put up with the racket from next door. We were halfway through the meal so could not move to another room.

We decided to go to the Griffin as it was our first wedding anniversary and we had our reception there. From the moment we walked it we felt relaxed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and when the food came out it was beautiful both quality and presentation. I would highly recommend this place.

I would definitely recommend a meal at Griffin Inn. Lovely venue and excellent food.

We were the only ones there yesterday. But it was great. Service and food were both excellent and we had one gluten free diner and they were super accommodating. Would definitely return. Just lovely.

We ate in the bar - the service and quality of food were excellent. My husband appreciated a good pint of bitter. Lovely cosy atmosphere.

Lovely evening, great food, service lacking could have done with at least couple more staff on a very busy evening.

Lovely visit, top quality food! Would definitely eat here again!

The food and quality was 5 star. We were looked after very well and I would highly recommend the Griffin. The only thing I would say is it's slightly expensive when you compare it with other places of similar quality

Parents joint 90th birthday lunch, good food and very good service

Nice relaxed setting. Food plentiful and well presented but overpriced. Service generally very good but a couple of requests had to be reminded. Overall taking into account the price and forgetfulness I can only rate it fair to medium.

Enjoyable quality meal. Only niggle was we had to dispute the bill which wasn't reduced by the qualifying 20 percent for meals before 7.30 p.m.

Good choice of food on the menu. Friendly staff and quick service. Choice of seating from traditional dining room or pub snug with roaring log burner

A nice meal in pleasant surroundings.

Really good traditional Sunday lunch, and the pear tart was delicious. Good service too.

Had steak for main best steak I've had in years staff very pleasant and left us to enjoy the evening without constantly coming to ask if we were OK as they do in other restaurants .

Fantastic meal as always. We came for our first wedding anniversary after getting married at The Griffin last year.
We told a nice gentleman and he brought us out a free dessert with a special happy anniversary written on the slate. A lovely touch. Always recommend The Griffin for great food. We will be back every year for our anniversary as a special treat!

Had a very enjoyable meal with friends. Food and service were very good!

Food was average but the service was awful, the staff in the restaurant stomped around the room and lacked any hint of subtly when delivering and collecting plates. We were also brought the bill without being asked if we'd like desserts.

Such a shame as the young gentleman behind the bar was very friendly and the pub itself is lovely.

A lovely meal 2 of us had a roast dinner. The other two chose from menu. One had a fish dish and the other the ham/egg option. A very enjoyable experience at Griffin Inn. Highly recommended.

Delicious food, freshly prepared and beautifully presented. Definitely returning!

Good quality food at The Griffin Inn and excellent service. The main dining room was in use by a wedding party, but we were accommodated in another dining area with no problems.

Another excellent meal at The Griffin Inn, despite the restaurant being full to capacity on a Saturday evening!

The Griffin Inn is a great place for a quiet business lunch during weekdays.

The Griffin Inn is an excellent place to eat, not too crowded with great personal attention.

Well it was very good quality and consistent over two days visiting for lunch!

We had a lovely evening, a special one as it was our Silver Wedding anniversary. The Griffin is lovely, comfortable and welcoming with attractive decor and everything is very clean and smart. The staff are very friendly, both in the bar and the restaurant and our waiter was particularly helpful. We had a starter and a main and were very pleased with the quality of the food. I'd recommend the paella, delicious. The restaurant was quite busy for a midweek evening, but it is spacious enough for you not to feel squashed. There is no loud music to destroy conversation which I really appreciated! After our meal we had coffee in the bar and to round off the evening, bumped into some friends there! We felt the whole evening was just what we'd wanted and very good value for money too. We'll definitely be going back.

Good food at the Griffin Inn. Friendly service. Lovely setting.
Thai dish not as hot (spicy) as expected but food well presented with good ingredients. Loved the Pannacotta.

We thought the Griffin was range of the menu and the quality was very good value for money. The ambiance was ok and it was great that we could hear each other without being drowned out by plastic loud music. The service was rather slow but they did offer us free coffee when we complained and service also picked up. It won't put us off going again and neither should it you!

The meal was very nice and well presented, however we did feel that the service was quite slow.

Very impressed with the food and the service very pleasant and efficient and very good value for money. Will definitely be going back.

We had a fabulous Sunday lunch at The Griffin Inn which was excellent value for money.

Attentive but not intrusive service - food and ambience excellent.

Excellent Sunday lunch. Staff are lovely - we will be back to the Griffin Inn!
