    Great Sunday lunch!

    Nice chips

Lovely chilli, warm in both meanings.

Very good menu choice and friendly staff

Beautiful relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and very festive. Really enjoyed our meal. Thank you.

Having recommended The Globe to people for years I had my first bad meal there on Sunday. Undercooked veg, very little food on the plate and cold, even the gravy didn't warm it up. We complained and we were given money off. Pleased to hear that it was a different chef and he was being replaced and to try there again in a couple of weeks. Hopefully it will be back to their usual excellent standard.

Sunday lunch expensive for what we had. Not enough beef on plate or potatoes mashed would not have gone amiss. Service was good.Just food didn't live up to expectations.

Great food and great service. Very polite and helpful!

A meal at The Globe is always a good bet!

As always good food, good wine and an all round good evening at the Globe.

The pie is always a winner, I have eaten here a couple of times now and will continue to do so!

First time we've been to the Globe in Leicester and was really impressed by the standard of the food and service. Would highly recommend a visit to The Globe - and it's now one of my favourite restaurants in Leicester.

Really lovely traditional English pub that's incredibly close to the city centre. Good food for good prices (not ridiculously overpriced like many city centre venues). Staff are nice and friendly. Will visit again.

We say…

The Globe in Leicester has been serving fine ales and food since 1720 making it one of the oldest pubs in Leicester. Whilst the exterior hasn’t changed much over the years you can rest assured that inside this ancient watering hole which, in its previous incarnations has been used as a cattle merchants and as accommodation for women awaiting execution at the hands of the noose man in nearby Gallowtree Gate, has been modernised over time to create a comfortable and welcoming space in which to drink and dine in good company.

Located on the corner of Silver Street and Carts Street, less than a minute from The Guildhall, The Globe is ideally situated for those looking to relax after a day’s shopping at The Highcross Centre or for a casual meal in the evening. The pub is on the ground floor and offers a traditional yet cosy place to enjoy a couple of pints of the 7 real ales and 2 traditional ciders on offer behind the bar. Many of the original features still remain, including the gas lights which are only present in a total of four pubs across the UK! The Globe is a wonderful British pub which is even hosts Leicester Comedy Festival.

Upstairs at The Globe you will find a beautiful City Centre function room serving real cask ales, draught lager, cider, stout and a wide selection of wines and spirits. With the capacity to accommodate 40 people for a sit down meal or 70 people for a cracking party their function room is perfect for all events and occasions from Christenings to Weddings, Birthdays and Leaving Parties!

The Globe in Leicester really does seem to have a winning combination; quality home-cooked food, comfortable surroundings and warm and friendly service. You really couldn’t as for more. So why not drop in for a refreshing drink and a bite to eat today? You’ll only be sorry you didn’t visit sooner, just keep an eye out for the ghosts...
