We say…

The Curzon Arms is situated just a couple of miles away from Loughborough, in the picturesque village of Woodhouse Eaves. It’s in the ideal spot if you fancy heading out for a scenic drive, or even if you live nearby and want to try a new place to eat.

The restaurant is situated in a beautiful, traditional white-washed building, which gives it a proper country pub atmosphere where you’ll immediately feel at home. You can choose to huddle up near one of the log fires, or enjoy a drink and food outside in the beer garden depending on the weather. Rustic touches such as old beer crates for muddy wellies and the wooden beams on the roof will make you feel really welcomed by the friendly staff.

The menu changes with the seasons, to ensure that all the best local produce is showcased in their gorgeous dishes. On their midsummer menu are fantastic sandwiches like the famous hot rare roast 28-day aged steak, complete with a mushroom and stilton sauce on a toasted ciabatta. For a midsummer main, why not try the wild boar meat balls with a papperdelle, fennel, spinach and tomato sauce with garlic ciabatta. If you’re in the mood for something warming in winter, or if you’ve just come in from the rain, go for the perfectly executed pub classic of sustainably caught beer-battered fish with a tasty garden pea puree, fluffy home-cut chips and a perfectly seasoned tartare sauce. Save room for dessert, though, as you’ll love traditional pub favourites like the salted caramel and chocolate tart with white chocolate and Bailey’s milk shake.

You might want to also head to the Curzon Arms for great family days out, such as the ‘little monsters’ cooking club for kids, or the brain-teasing pub quiz every Tuesday night.

For a charming British restaurant with scrumptious food, make it a priority to visit the Curzon Arms in Leicestershire as soon as possible. The great food, friendly ambience and reliable service makes one-time visitors become regulars, and it’s no surprise that this establishment is so popular.
