We say…

Nottingham’s foodie microbrewery in historic Lace Market pub.

As in the name, The Angel has its own thriving microbrewery while the kitchen uses organic, locally-sourced produce wherever it can to produce a menu of British pub classics and iconic global favourites,

Beer battered fish and chips, burgers and pies feature alongside the likes of tacos stuffed with teriyaki chicken, pico de gallo, cheddar and sour cream.

An extensive vegan menu sets the The Angel apart as a welcome choice for plant-based diners as well as meat eaters, with seitan steak and smoked harissa bean burgers just a couple to choose from.

The building itself dates way back to the 1600s and has a unique chapel on its first floor which is nowadays used as live music venue. Giant names including Oasis and The Arctic Monkeys have played here in years gone by!

You can find this historic freehouse just off Hockley’s main Carlton Street on the corner of Stoney Street and Woolpack Lane.
