    Crumbs on chairs, table dirty, starter was nice, but the carvery tasted like the vegetables were over cooked and reheated.

    This really is the epitome of fine dining.

A striking country mansion in the picturesque village of Creaton houses the Terrace Restaurant at Highgate House. Situated just fifteen minutes north of Northampton, it offers stunning views across the rolling Northamptonshire countryside whilst still being situated close to the town centre.

Owned and managed by the family that once resided at this stunning house, all guests can expect to be welcomed by friendly and professional staff and to be looked after during every minute that they spend in the venue. Highgate House in an extremely flexible venue that is perfect for any occasion. From a four course fine dining menu in the Terrace Restaurant, Gala dinners in one of the many functions rooms, or buffet-style lunches, the team at Highgate House are welcoming and efficient in every scenario. Every room is luxurious and opulent whether it's classic with dark red leather chairs or contemporary with a unique full-room skylight; there's a room to suit every requirement. The function rooms are suitable for any size group, from ten all the way up to 60, with the Baronial Hall taking pride of place in the venue's armoury.

The Terrace Restaurant is accredited by the Vegetarian Society, meaning that care is taken on all aspects of the menu and the kitchen can accommodate any dietary requirement. Using only free-range eggs and poultry that is monitored and accredited by the Red Tractor food standards scheme, the team are particularly proud of their commitment to using local and seasonal produce whenever possible. With a stunning European menu on offer that includes dishes such as baked pave of salmon with fondant potatoes. chargrilled asparagus and chervil sauce, plus gammon steak with creamed potato and parsley sauce, you'll be spoilt for choice.
