A wonderfully authentic French restaurant in the heart of Leeds. I went with my family and everyone particularly enjoyed the desserts which were exquisite. A good mix of service and food has contributed to us making this a regular event!

We say…

Sous Le Nez is a fantastic French restaurant located in an ambient basement in Leeds city centre. Housed underneath the luxury boutique hotel Quebecs on Quebec Street it is easily accessible for locals and visitors alike. Its location between the business district and the train station, Sous Le Nez is an ideal venue for a business lunch or a lingering evening meal.

Sous Le Nez has  been a key feature of the Leeds restaurant scene for over 15 years and has won many accolades in the process, including winner of ‘Best Business Lunch’ in the Eat Out Leeds Awards 2010. The main dining room is classically decorated with dark wood panels lining the walls which are broken up with large bespoke pieces of artwork that compliments the sophisticated atmosphere. The separate bar area also doubles as a more informal destination for guests to enjoy a meal. The bar menu features soups, sandwiches, salads and steaks and is perfect if you’re looking for a more relaxed dining experience.

The Chefs produce high quality French cuisine day in, day out for very reasonable prices. You can expect to find a whole host of classic French offerings on the menu including traditional confit dishes such as the Confit duck leg with chilli and herb rosti with a sweet and sour sauce; Baked Filo Parcel of ratatouille and goats cheese with rocket and a red onion salad, and Roast Breast of Chicken stuffed with leeks gorgonzola, watercress and served with a truffle cream sauce.

As you would expect from a French restaurant, there is a comprehensive wine list and the polite and well-trained staff are on hand to help you match your wine to your dish choices. Once inside Sous Le Nez it is easy to see why they have consistently won awards; the food, venue and staff are all perfectly turned out, giving diners a brilliant experience time after time.
