A great, caring family run traditional Italian restaurant. All the classics are on offer with a smile from the Sorrentino family and they have been catering for our needs since we moved to Northampton 10 years ago!

We say…

Sorrentino’s Italian restaurant is situated on Gold Street in the heart of Northampton town centre offering authentic Italian cuisine. It is in close proximity to Vue Cinema and popular dining venues such as Marefair Roma, Le Sacre Bleu and Thai Nam Tip. As Sorrentino’s is only a couple of minutes’ walk from the rail station, it is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike.

The restaurant opened over 20 years ago and is a family run and owned establishment that is housed within an intricately designed, two-floor building. The layout of the restaurant often means that diners have their own dining room in one of the offshoot from the main hallway. The atmosphere is cosy, warm and authentic as the walls are whitewashed and decorated with choice pieces of art work and the occasional decorate mirror.

The family background of Sorrentino’s means that many of the dishes are created from family recipes that have been passed down through generations. The menu is vast and offers diners a superb range of antipasti, pizzas, pastas, meat, fish and speciality dishes. Sand-out items include the Fettuccine con Frutti di Mare; fettuccine pasta with fresh tomato, king prawns, mussels, clams and squid, Bistecca alla Pizzaiola; fillet steak with tomato, onions, mushrooms, red wine and herbs and the Don Giovanni pizza topped with Bolognese sauce, salami, ham, tomato and mozzarella cheese. There is also a range of incredibly good value for money set menus available and there are vegetarian options aplenty.

Sorrentino’s Italian restaurant in Northampton town centre can seat up to 60 people and is perfect for a romantic meal, special occasion or for larger groups. The maze-like structure of the venue means that couples will have privacy and larger tables are seated adequately.
