We say…

Son of Steak is the flat iron phenomenon taking Nottingham by storm. Situated in Trinity Square in the city centre, just a few minutes’ walk from Cineworld and John Lewis, Son of Steak is ideal for a break from a shopping spree, a speedy lunch or a night out on the town

The interior of the restaurant is slick and quirky, with wood-clad walls reminiscent of an American ranch and fascinating facts about the different cuts of meat available adorning them. Booth seating makes it a great environment for groups of friends and families alike.

Son of Steak’s ethos is simple – they believe that everyone should be able to enjoy great steaks without the sizeable price tag, or the long wait for your food to arrive. Steaks are carefully sourced from selected British and Irish farms, then dry and wet-aged for 28 days. The flat iron steaks are initially slow cooked, then perfectly char-grilled to remain pink inside, succulently tender and always tasty. All other steaks are slow-cooked in an enclosed Josper charcoal oven, which adds an unmistakable smoky-sweet flavour to the meat. All steaks come with just a pinch of Maldon seasalt to finish.

The side dishes of freshly prepared chips and crispy onion bread are particular favourites among visitors. Son of Steak have also recently branched out into the world of tasty burgers and chicken marinated with Bumbu Bali spice, determined to master these to the same excellent standard as their signature dishes. For those with little ones in tow, there’s a children’s menu that is sure to fit the bill. And, of course, there are sweet treats such as the chocolate brownie or New York cheesecake, both served with salted caramel sauce and bottomless whippy vanilla ice cream. Heavenly!

With its casual and relaxed atmosphere, Son of Steak is fast, efficient and easy. The delicious food is an absolute bargain and merits a visit, whatever the occasion. Book your table today to see what all the fuss is about!
