    As good as usual.

Somehow felt rushed. Three courses in just over an hour. Starters were great as we both enjoyed the asparagus and poached egg and the duck. My sea bass main was lost in the sauce and over powering garlic mash. The medium rare steak was fine but again the sauce let it down. Two whole cloves of garlic. The bread and butter pudding was tasty. Difficult to get attention for another drink after the first round. Eaten here a few times and not sure why it wasn't quite as good as usual.

    Food excelllent as always

We all enjoyed the meal my squid was tough but I know it tends to be but apart from that the service was good nice surroundings.

Good food and presentation at the Snooty Fox. Friendly staff.

Excellent fantastic meal. Friendly staff good service and good quality food uses. I would definately recommend and go back again.

Very good all round at the Snooty Fox. Room a little dark but plenty of atmosphere. Sorry we didn't think to have meal outside as lovely sunny day. Some tables outside looked quite sheltered.

traditional pub restaurant serving all the classics, what else do you need!

We say…

The Snooty Fox is a traditional village pub and restaurant serving fresh, homemade food as well as fine wines and ales. It is situated in Lowick, not far from local towns Kettering and Corby. It is a large venue, featuring a spacious garden area with benches and a children’s play area. With new owners and a modern makeover, The Snooty Fox is worth venturing outside of Northampton town centre for.

From outside, The Snooty Fox looks like a traditional pub that could potentially be quite dark inside: in reality, it’s a completely different story. Light floods through the venue, illuminating the stone floors and lifting the dark wood bar. The lounge area is separated from the dining room with a quirky feature stone wall and is packed with comfortable sofas and chairs that you will immediately want to sink in to. The separate a la Carte dining room is a more formal affair, with chunky dark wood tables and white chairs. The original wooden beams are perfectly preserved and add a real charm and character to the venue.

The menu is anything but traditional pub grub. Whilst the cuisine is British through and through, the flair and imagination poured in to each dish places the food on another level. Diners will be delighted with dishes such as fresh fillet of sea bass served with wild mushrooms, lime and coconut risott and topped with an orange and rocket salad; smoked mature cheddar and caramelised red onion tart served with hand cut chips; and locally-farmed Aylesbury duck breast served with parsnip purée, raspberry and Remy Martin sauce, buttered French beans and gratin potatoes.

If you are looking for hearty yet refined British cooking with idyllic views of the countryside, a visit to The Snooty Fox is highly recommended.
