another wonderful meal. the food is excellant and the staff are very attentive.

The food was excellent and with the 50% discount it was very good value for money. I was unsure what to order for my main course as there was such a wide selection but I asked for a recommendation from the waiter who took my order and I was extremely pleased with the dish that he suggested. We will definitely return. A lovely meal.

We came to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary and had a fantastic evening. The service was superb, efficient, unobtrusive and timed to perfection. The food was brilliant, not too much as most restaurants give, but felt comfortably full and it was cooked to perfection. The silence and peaceful ambience was particularly appreciated. Thank you for a lovely evening. Mary and Dave.

Shalimar Gold prides itself on using the freshest ingredients to compliment their secret array of spices used in recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation.

Diners are spoiled for choice and classic dishes on the menu include Ruf Chanda, a dish that originates from the rivers of Bangladesh and combines delicately cooked fish with a wealth of exotic spices, or the Methi Lamb, a beautiful dish of fragrantly spice lamb with onion, garlic, tomatoes and capsicum. Their extensive menu also features new dishes, including their signature dish, the 'Rezella,' which is a whole chicken breast lightly seethed in a delicately spiced sauce. Children and vegetarians are well catered for and as there are also several European dishes available upon request, even those who dislike spice will find something that they will love.

With so much quality on offer we advise you to book online in advance to secure your table at one of Derby’s finest and longest standing Indian restaurants!
