We say…

Translated as ‘A Thousand Cherry Blossoms,’ Senbon Sakura is a cute cafe and Japanese kitchen tucked away in Leeds city centre.

Senbon Sakura’s menu boasts all your favourite flavours of Japanese cuisine, from noodles, wok dishes and that holy grail katsu curry to Japan’s variation on tapas-style dining with gyoza, tempura and sushi light bites.

Knockout dishes include the Salmon & Avocado Tempura Roll where vibrant salmon belly is fused with nutty avocado, topped with sesame, sweet teriyaki and cool mayo and then finished off by deep frying in a perfectly crisp, golden batter.

The venue displays bright walls and lantern decorations reminiscent of Japan, with small wooden tables that provide easy and relaxed dining ideal for catch ups and hangouts.

Spoilt for choice or just new to Japanese cuisine? Senbon Sakura offer set meals with your choice of main accompanied by fluffy steamed rice and herbal miso soup, with a bento box edition ideal for those on the go.

Senbon Sakura Cafe & Japanese Kitchen can be found opposite St George’s Church on George Street in Leeds city centre.
