Went to visit my son in Ripley and we decided to book a table at Seafish restaurant. It was very lively with a good mixture of children, adults and pensioners. There is a choice of fish on the menus - I went with the haddock which was lovely. The staff were very polite and quick in serving us our meals, which was good because we were very hungry. A nice experience!

We say…

Situated in Ripley, Derbyshire, Seafish is a fish and chip restaurant that also offers a takeaway service, providing customers with a big selection of wonderfully cooked dishes. They specialise in fish – as the name would suggest – but there is a lot more to meet the eye, with both meat and vegetarian dishes also available so all tastes can be catered for.

The team behind the restaurant is headed by long-time friends Panny and Andreas who have joined forces to give the idea of chip-shop for tea a makeover, adding an array of different dishes that are fresh and exciting to an often predictable fish and chip menu. The seafood platter is a perfect example of this, and a much-loved favourite with regular customers, as it includes a bit of everything: Mexican fishcake, salt and pepper squid, chilli mango prawns, and peppered calamari strips to name a few. The mix of flavours and textures is a go-to choice for those wanting to sample many different varieties, or customers who aren’t sure what type of seafood they are in the mood for.

For those who don’t want a fish meal, there are also many options for them too, such as Luciano’s lasagne, vegetable pancake rolls or a selection of burgers. Both the fish dishes and the non-fish dishes are excellent quality and the potion sizes are very generous– what more could you ask for?

The restaurant itself is also impressive: there is a vast amount of seating options available, with large tables perfect for a bigger group, or booths more suited to an intimate dinner and fairly simplistic décor that make the restaurant look even more spacious and inviting.

Offering an excellent menu of seafood and otherwise, Seafish in Derby is firmly putting fish back on the menu and getting people enjoying their favourite dishes in a welcoming environment.
