We say…

The Scarbrough Hotel is located in Bishopgate Street in Leeds, and is a great example of a hotel with an excellent, traditional British restaurant. Its perfect for a family dinner, especially if you’re staying in the adjacent hotel. Even if you aren’t staying in the hotel, make sure you head into the Scarbrough for a quality, classic meal that won’t break the bank.

The Scarbrough Hotel restaurant is traditional and comfortable without being dull. Sit down as a big group for any kind of family celebration, as the highly capable staff will make sure you have a fun-filled evening with food and drink. Equally, the restaurant is well suited to smaller catch-ups with friends or even as a romantic date venue, as the laid-back atmosphere will ensure that your night is a success.

The menu at the Scarbrough Hotel combines fantastic, hearty, British dishes with seasonal ingredients as well as perennial favourites, which ensure that there’ll be something on the menu for everyone to enjoy. Start with a yummy sharing platter featuring classics like a brie fondue, garlic read, susages, mini souther-fried chicken fillets, onion rings, chutney and much more! If you want something more individual, we recommend the crispy fried whitebait with a creamy garlic mayonnaise dip. Next, try something from the ‘Nicholson’s Classics’ menu, such as the timeless bangers and mash featuring pork and black pudding sausages with creamy mashed potato and homemade onion rings. If you fancy something even meatier, try the thick-cut gammon steak with a golden and runny free-range egg with skin-on chips. There’s much more to choose from, from salads, fish, sandwiches and even hand-pressed burgers, so make sure your party orders a variety of dishes so you can nibble on a bit of everything.

The unassuming Scarbrough Hotel is a great example of what a British restaurant can achieve, so make it on your to-do list for a traditional lunch or tea in Leeds city centre.
