This was our second time eating at Rye. We will be coming back for more. Small but nice menu, always fresh cakes to choose from and perfect steaks. Lots of healthy options available.

Six of us ate together. We all had different food and we were happy with it

Have visited many times with no issues. Christmas Eve visit was disappointing as my meal was over cooked. Saying that the rest of my parties food was fine and it was very busy. Would definitely return.

The food was excellent and the service was very good. Staff very friendly and efficient. Great atmosphere.

Very polite and prompt service. Good quality food and friendly staff.

    Quick service and great food.

    Another super meal!

Met up with my sister after work, fab service, great food, we really enjoyed it!

    Very good, worth another trip!

I've been here before and have never been disappointed with the food and service. The steak was cooked to perfection. Will be back again soon

Excellent value "ladies night" menu at Rye, with really good cocktails. A lovely evening.

Service was great, staff were very pleasant. Food was great and plenty of it, even cater for gluten free diet. Would definitely eat here again.

Excellent food. The service was friendly, unrushed and informal. The menu really needs more choice for vegetarians to encourage me to come back more often.

We say…

Opened in May 2015, Rye Cafe & Bar has already made an impressive entrance onto Beeston’s restaurant scene. This brand new venue is set to be the ideal meeting place for families, couples and friends to relax and enjoy delicious food, great drinks and excellent deals. Rye can be found on the High Road, near the Durham Ox pub and close to the University of Nottingham.

Rye is anything but your typical café. Open from breakfast until late in the evening, Rye is out to provide the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of modern city living. During the day it's a friendly café, offering freshly roasted ‘200 Degrees’ coffee alongside indulgent breakfasts and irresistible lunches. In the evening the mood changes and the ambience simmers down to transform the establishment into a suave wine bar and restaurant complete with table service to avoid that inevitable Saturday night crush at the bar. It also hosts a number of exciting events such as Ladies Night on Wednesdays and Pure Acoustic music sessions.

As for the menu, you can expect to tuck into delicious dishes such as the mouth-wateringly tender 8oz Derbyshire bavette steak served with grilled tomato and mushroom, watercress salad and crispy fries; ale battered cod with with twice cooked handcut chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce; and, for the veggies, lentil and sweet potato shepherd’s pie with yummy buttered greens. A fantastic selection of puddings are also available, including the heavenly bramley apple tart tatin with calvados creme anglais. The drinks are far from secondary to the food; you'll find that the same amount of care and attention has been put into compiling the cocktail list. There are also a range of beers, wines, and soft drinks to choose from.

If you are looking for relaxation and refinement, look no further than Rye in Beeston. The ambience, attention to detail, menus and staff all combine to create a fantastic atmosphere that is well-loved with the discerning diners of Nottingham, and with good reason too!
