    Lovely restaurant with really good food. Was quiet when we were in so lacked in atmosphere a little bit but that can't be helped. Good food, good service, good prices. Will go back.

As the name suggest, Royal Thai is an authentic Thai restaurant situated on Mansfield Road in Nottingham. Located just up the Road from the Nag’s Head pub, Royal Thai has been serving delicious Thai food to hungry diners since 1987.

Royal Thai prides itself on offering guests and unique fine dining experience in beautiful surroundings with a relaxed atmosphere. There is no need to rush your experience as when you book a table at the restaurant, it’s yours for the whole evening; no rushing, no turning tables, just sheer enjoyment and indulgence. The venue is able to seat up to 70 diners and with a variety of different table sizes, it’s perfectly proportioned for any party size, large or small.

Thai food is becoming one of the most popular exotic cuisines and Royal Thai offers a truly authentic Thai experience. All dishes are expertly prepared and beautifully presented for the maximum flavour and visual appeal. Recommended dishes include the Royal Thai Platter for two to share as a starter which includes minced chicken and prawn dumplings with a sweet chilli sauce, satay chicken, prawn spring rolls, Thai spring rolls filled with vermicelli, taro and vegetables and prawn and chicken sesame toast. For mains the classic Tom Yum soup, a spicy broth flavoured with mushrooms, lime leaves, galangal and fresh coriander with chicken is a great choice. Those looking for something a bit more substantial will revel in the long list of curries including the classic green curry and the Chefs specials including the delicious roast duck, lightly fried and served with a tamarind sauce on a bed of crispy noodles.
