University of Nottingham is a public research university with its main campus, University Park, located just outside the city centre. There is also a teaching hospital, Queen's Medical Centre on Derby Road, though the university is not quite as central to Nottingham City as Nottingham Trent University's city campus. University Park campus is one of the largest in the country, spanning 300 acres, and with such beautiful gardens and grounds to wander through; it isn't just for students to enjoy! Being two miles from the city centre makes it the perfect escape as it's far enough away that you'll get peace and quiet, yet not too far so that you can still get into town if you need to. Not too far from the tranquility of University Park campus is the Jubilee Campus which focuses on Computer Science and Business School. University of Nottingham also has campuses overseas in China and Malaysia which give them a unique edge over many other Universities due to the strong links out there.
