Queen's Medical Centre (often shortened to QMC) was opened by the Queen in 1977. It is the largest hospital in the UK and is part of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust after it merged with Nottingham City Hospital in 2006. It is a teaching hospital and was the first one built for that purpose, training and teaching students from University of Nottingham in a hands-on and faced paced environment. It employs more than 6000 people who are dedicated and knowledgeable in their field, so you know that the best care will be given. It is easy to get to, with frequent bus links and signs for directions if you are driving. It is situated on Derby Road, at the junction of the dual carriageway Nottingham Ring Road (A6514), and with many signposts along the way, it should be easy to find. The nearest restaurant to Queen’s Medical Centre is Chiquito in Lenton, which is a lively Mexican restaurant less than a mile away.
