Sunday lunch was cold, white wine was lukewarm and service was poor. We have eaten in the bar previously which was excellent. Will not revisit...

Food was nice, staff we nice, drinks were nice, place was nice. A little bit pricey though.

Possibly the most upmarket restaurant in Kettering good food and a nice atmosphere.

The restaurant was decorated in some style for festiviries but the table was so bare it was uninviting. tablecloth and little on it. The starter was bared to the bone in terms of content and clearly they are trying to economise. the brixworth pate was cut so thin and was unappetisingly laid over lettuce no tomato no other saled no TOAST. My prawns were just in a ball coated with sauce and again on a miserly bit of lettuce and again no tomato. I was shocked. We have been there before and had fab food. The main course of beef was perfect. but I had to ask for serving spoons for the vegetables in a separate dish. The desserts were also lovely no complaints. We waited 20 minutes to pay and finally walked too reception to complain the service was patchy and rather disinterested. Lovely setting but not the great meals we have had in the past. Has the chef changed or maybe they are just cutting down.

Great food and service. I think Langberry's is by far the most refined restaurant in the area.

We say…

Within the Kettering Park Hotel and Spa you will discover The Restaurant and Bar. Easily accessible from the A14 via the M1 north and south and the A1, it's ideal for family gatherings and reunions.

The entire venue has a light and airy feel and is surrounded by beautiful gardens, making it a relaxing and serene place to enjoy a quiet meal. With many small alcoves that you can tuck yourself away in and private areas that feature high-backed sofas along with beautiful fireplaces, guests are encouraged to relax and enjoy a pre-meal drink before heading through to the dining room. The restaurant is happy to welcome children and all dishes can be ordered in smaller servings especially.

Serving modern British and European cuisine and maintaining the admirable ethos of favouring local fresh produce, the restaurant more than deserves its AA rosette. The restaurant's Head Chef has carefully selected local suppliers such as Hudsons for the fruit and veg; Potters of Stanwick for their highly reputable and fine selection of local meat; Cryer and Stott are outstanding cheesemongers; and Bleikers Smokehouse provide the restaurant with the best smoked salmon.

For starters, favourites include the tiger shrimp tempura served with charred lime and sweet chilli sauce, as well as the salmon and parsley fishcakes with baby spinach and lemon butter sauce. There are plenty of fish options for mains, including the tiger prawn, crab and clam rigatoni, and there are also loads of grill options to choose from, such as the maple-glazed gammon steak served with a fried duck egg. Remember to check out the seasonal dishes, which currently feature the delicious breast of chicken wrapped in Woodall's air-dried ham and served with heritage tomatoes and roasted aubergine, as well as the rump of Oxfordshire lamb with grilled summer vegetables and minted Hollandaise sauce. If you have a sweet tooth, check out the desserts: the chocolate tart with pecan ice cream and toffee popcorn is not to be missed.

If you a looking for a real treat then The Restaurant and Bar at Kettering Park Hotel will provide you with the setting, the food, and the service to make it happen. Family-friendly, secluded and elegant, it’s ideal for all occasions.
