In the small village of Bunny, The Rancliffe Arms sits within a historical coach inn dating back to the 16th century. This beautiful restaurant is just off the A60, so easily accessible whilst remaining peaceful. The neighbouring fields are a pleasant place to take a walk before your meal.
This large building maintains many of the original features with some beautiful additions. The original chimney, located over the bar area, creates a traditional, informal feel and the sofas in the lounge area are comfortable and inviting. In the dining area, floral wallpaper and decorative white birdcages create a friendly ambience while exposed brick walls with wine bottles on display remind you of the history of the building. Outdoor decking offers the option to sit outside amongst the flowers, with tables and cushioned seating so you can enjoy your meal in comfort. If you’re hosting an event, The Rancliffe Arms has two private dining rooms in which you can enjoy your meal, catering for small to medium group sizes. Children are always welcome in this family-run establishment.
The menu offers British favourites with a few twists that introduce other cuisines. Begin your meal with classic Italian garlic bread topped with cheese or enjoy a light, warm duck salad. Mains include a traditional British steak pie and the choice of beer-battered fish and chips alongside crispy Malaysian chicken for those who want to try something a little different. Lasagne is also on the menu, offering classic Italian comfort food. If you want something more special, treat yourself to a 10oz British steak. The deli menu offers a fantastic choice of light lunches, with a huge choice of sandwiches, paninis and baguettes, including a delicious halloumi and roasted pepper wrap.
