We say…

In a great spot for shoppers, theatre-goers and locals who love great food, Nottingham's Pieminister located on Long Row is a great spot for a niche but delicious type of dining. Acclaimed by the Vegetarian Society, Great Taste and British Pie awards, Pieminister is a new but well-loved chain and a welcome addition to Nottingham's extensive and quirky food scene.

With industrial decor, low lighting and vibrant neon signs, Pieminister is a unique venue: with an outside dining area in the front for warmer days, you have the best of both worlds available. Food is served up on enamel plates, adding to the theme of the place: unfussy, but with accents of vibrant character.

In terms of food, unsurprisingly the menu serves up a wide range of pies. Proud of their responsible approach to dining, all of Pieminister's meat is free-range and British, and they also cater extremely well for vegetarians and those who require gluten-free dishes. You'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to picking your pie: from simple British beef steak and craft ale to the Chilli con Carnage - wild British venison, Brew Dog Dead Pony Club ale, dry cured bacon and scotch bonnet chilli - the 15 award-winning pies are all equally as appetising. Veggie pies include the Mighty Aphrodite with aubergine, green lentil and red pepper, topped with béchamel sauce and the Heidi, featuring Somerset goat's cheese, sweet potato, spinach and red onion. Complement your pie with a range of sides, including mash, minted mushy peas, sweet potato sides and macaroni cheese. There are also salads and slow-cooked hot pots available, making Pieminister a diverse venue that can cater to all tastes.

It doesn't end with the mains: dessert pies including Toffee Apple and Chocolate Mud pie are an absolute treat. Cocktails are two for one before 6:30pm and after 9:30pm, so treat yourself to a classic daiquiri or a quirky peanut butter or gingerbread espresso martini. With beers available from the Bristol Beer Factory, Camden Town Brewery and Freedom Brewery, as well as Fentiman's soft drinks and ice cream floats, there's something for everyone at Pieminister.

If you're looking for a totally new dining experience featuring homely food, fun cocktails and indulgent desserts, get down to Pieminister on Long Row
