In the heart of Northampton’s town centre, the incredible Pamukkale serves Turkish staples and is the ideal place to visit with a family or a group of friends. Situated close to a number of bars such as Sazerac and Borjia, it is the ideal place to dine before a night out. This venue is also just a 4 minutes’ walk away from The Grosvenor Shopping centre, making it the perfect place to relax during a day of leisure.
Since opening in early 2015, it has been met with high praise from critics and diners alike. With its clean-cut black and white exterior, guests will be surprised to find a warm, Mediterranean ambience replicating the beautiful mineral water spa it is named after. The open-plan kitchen and well-lit grill allows guests direct access to the chefs, as well as being treated to the delicious aromas of authentic Turkish cuisine. The dining room is spread across the spacious ground floor level, making disabled access very easy.
The menu offers a refreshing selection of Turkish plates including charcoal-grilled lamb skewers marinated in a spicy butter-based relish; tender chicken and oyster mushrooms in a creamy mustard sauce; and baby aubergine stuffed with fried onions, peppers, tomatoes, baked in a light tomato sauce, served with rice, salad and freshly baked bread. Guests can also take advantage of Pamukkale’s set menus that offer a selection of cold and hot mezze dishes, which are ideal for sharing.
Pamukkale, which translates as ‘cotton castle’, is the perfect venue to unwind and enjoy generous portions of authentic Turkish fare. The restaurant can get rather lively in the evenings so booking is highly recommended.
