We say…

The Palmichael in Burton Latimer, Kettering, first opened its doors to hungry customers in 1981. Thirty years on and this Italian restaurant is still romancing diners with its contemporary décor, authentic Italian recipes and family charm.

After an extensive renovation project, the restaurant has a very contemporary, chic feeling about it. With light wooden floors that are polished to a high shine and a chocolate and cream colour scheme that runs throughout the bar and the dining room itself, the entire venue is light and airy in the day time before simmering down to become sultry, cosy and inviting in the evenings. With plenty of space for larger parties and intimate corners for couples, The Palmichael is ideal for all dining occasions. This family-run venue has superb values and guests are treated incredibly well by the professional yet friendly and helpful members of the family and the staff.

Before establishing the Palmichael, Vincenzo left Italy to continue his culinary education in Switzerland and France before coming to England as a fully qualified chef. His experience is reflected in the complex and beautiful menus that Vincenzo and his son, Michael, develop together. You can expect to enjoy dishes such as the Filetto al Pepe, a char-grilled 8oz fillet steak seasoned with crushed black peppercorns and a cream and Italian brandy sauce; Pesci Spada alla Griglia, char-grilled swordfish steak with roasted Mediterranean vegetables and a vine tomato sauce; and Vincenzo’s homemade lasagne with tomato sauce and plenty of parmesan cheese.

If you are looking for contemporary Italian dining with classic values then The Palmichael restaurant in Burton Latimer, Kettering, is the ideal restaurant for you. A thirty year history that doesn’t appear to be coming to an end any time soon should be enough of a recommendation for this fine family restaurant.
