Food was absolutely amazing and great value for money. Our new favourite restaurant! Can't wait to go back.

    Absolutely superb!

Another lovely meal, will be back.

Best all round restaurant in derby!

Best all round restaurant in derby!

Food was excellent, the staff were very helpful, thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Definitely going back.

The food at Masa is great, beautifully cooked and presented, and using an unusual array of ingredients. The staff were great too. We visited on a chilly sunday evening and perhaps the heating could have been cranked up a bit or some soft furnishings would have improved the ambiance - we'll visit again on a busy lunchtime

This Derby restaurant is a short-listed finalist in Britain's best restaurants! It may not win but it is true gem of a restaurant, the food is excellent! The ambiance created by the old Church building is impressive as is the clever way that each table has privacy. The service was also top notch. Definitely worth a visit, especially for a special occasion!

Once again could not fault the service or the food will definitely be going back

Masa was a little quiet but the food was good. Portions could be a bit more generous however.

Overall it was a very pleasant evening, food was first class and the staff could not do either for us, this was a treat for my husband birthday dinner. I would go again

Top quality all round. Especially the service, will defo go again.

We love this restaurant. Fine dining at reasonable prices. Food is spectacular and service is second to none. On this occasion we dined at one of the monthly themed set menu evenings - great value and absolutely delicious.

Lovely food and excellent staff at Masa restaurant.

Masa is an excellent venue great food & service. The offer for valentines day proved outstanding value for money. Looking forward to our next visit.

The food was lovely, cooked beautifully and well presented. Very good menu and the home made bread and amuse Bouche was a nice surprise and delicious. The Merlot was served at a good temperature and the service was faultless. All in all a really enjoyable evening and we shall be returning. Thank you so much Masa Restaurant.

Ambience fabulous staff very friendly and welcoming. Celebrating my daughters birthday the staff made it special. We were on the mid week special menu. Lovely dishes and nicely put together with a different twist! Excellent!

Bit pricey for the food on offer.

Great restaurant, really nice for a special event. Would highly recommend.

A very good restaurant, good food. Lighting could be a little more subdued to improve ambience.

    Good resturant.

Great restaurant - would definitely go back to sample more of the menu!

Not the cheapest but got to be the best in Derby. Beautiful old chapel building and very unique. Food is top notch and has been on our numerous visits.

We say…

Located on Brook Street just outside of Derby city centre is a beautiful chapel that houses Masa Restaurant. Two minutes’ walk from The Maypole Inn and the Princess Alex Court hotel it is a perfect venue to host a special occasion, with the option of heading into the city afterwards. The superb quality of cuisine has been deservedly rewarded with 2 coveted AA rosettes for the past 7 years and winner of Restaurant of the Year at the Derby Food & Drink Awards 2015.

It is set within the Grade II listed Wesleyan Chapel, a truly unique place to enjoy a meal. The chapel has a fantastic history behind it, with origins dating back over 200 years. People continued to worship in the chapel until 2002. Since then, it has been beautifully, and sympathetically, restored to its former glory, with all of the additional amenities of a restaurant. It has retained many of the chapel’s original features. The restaurant is split over two levels and the congregation area on the ground floor is now the bar and is open during lunch time service. The upper area overlooking the pulpit and ground floor is open for evening service.

The kitchen at Masa is headed by the talented Matt Gabbitas who has worked hard to creative a mouth-watering menu using the very best of local produce. His culinary experience has seen him work all Europe including Italy and under a Michelin starred chef. The kitchen itself is very flexible when it comes to dietary requirements. On the menu you will find a fantastic selection of dishes, such as the luxurious tasting of rose veal which is accompanied by parma ham, garlic, morels, onion seed and shallot. Masa Derby is a magical restaurant and diners will leave with the lasting memory of fabulous cuisine in beautiful and unique surroundings. Whether you are entertaining clients or holding your wedding reception you will not be disappointed.

Ideal for any occasion, with superb service and quality food, Masa is the place to dine so book your table today!
