Can't fault it at all! Stayed in the hotel and dined in the restaurant and everything was superb. My vegetarian dishes were delicious and the young girl who served us was lovely! Thank you!

We say…

Located in the heart of the city centre, on the corner of Swinegate and The Calls, you will find the Malmaison Hotel. Voted as one of the finalists for the White Rose Awards 2011 ‘Large Hotel of the Year,’ the Leeds Mal is popular not just with guests staying the night, but with locals looking for a delicious meal or a few sophisticated drinks in the evening.

The Leeds Mal is vast and not only boasts incredibly well-appointed hotel facilities but a sophisticated brasserie and elegant bar too. Formerly a bus company office, the Mal has been converted into a hub of luxury and indulgence. The Brasserie offers sophisticated and elegant dining with stunning vaulted ceilings, leather booths designed for intimacy and a contemporary open fire place. For parties looking for a little exclusivity, there is a private dining room that can sit up to 12 people or, if your party is slightly larger there is a selection of private hire events rooms available on request.

The food on offer is classic British cuisine with a real emphasis placed on using seasonally available ingredients sourced from local Yorkshire growers, breeders and producers. All beef is sourced from Donald Russell who are holders of a royal warrant and only select the very best grass-fed and naturally reared beef. When available, you can expect to see dishes such as lamb shank served with bubble and squeak and a rosemary jus; Donald Russell dry aged rib eye steak; and fillet of hake paella with chicken, chorizo, squid and prawns. With regular special events nights such as their Cheese tasting evenings on the second Sunday of every month, the Brasserie at Malmaison Leeds is a real treat for foodies and lovers of local produce.

If you are looking for a real taste of Yorkshire in elegant surroundings, look no further than the Brasserie at the Leeds Mal for delicious food and a stunning venue that suits all occasions.
