You can never fault the food and service at Lime. Delicious.

Had onion bhajis to start. Very nice. Then chicken tikka korma with pilau rice and garlic nan. It was very nice. Garlic nan was huge. I liked the fact that I could take my own alcohol. My son who is a fussy eater had the chicken Rogan Josh. He found the chicken a bit hard and chewy as if it had been frozen. The restaurant nicely laid out and service excellent. Not sure if I will try again.

Stuck in a corner. Waited 40 mins for the main meal and when asked when the food would be coming, the manager said it's coming and walked off. Wrong dish served and manager not bothered but did take money off for the wrong meal. It was very busy but no excuse for lack of service. I would not go again.

Tracey Bettinson –
Lovely cheerful staff.

Heather Key –
The food is really good, very good value. Not a vast choice for vegetarians. Ok if you’re on a budget.
What I didn’t like was being served a bottle of coke with a straw. Last time that happened I was 10 years old! Come on, a glass with ice isn’t so hard, was it to save washing up? Won’t be going again. -

Really nice place and the food was decent. We had a mixed meat starter which some of the meat was cold, which should have been flame grilled. Main course was really good and spot on.

Excellent food and service as always. Really recommend the leg of lamb (which needs at least 2 days notice to order). Brilliant selection of different curries. Great that you can take your own alcohol as this keeps the expense down. Looking forward to going again!

We were all delighted by the warm reception, friendly atmosphere, and delicious meals, and very pleasantly surprised at the value for money. We were made to feel very welcome by the manager and staff and we could not fault any part of any of the meals. This is definitely on our list for a return visit, in the not too distant future.

Emma Stephens –
After hearing a lot of good things about Lime we decided to book a table for the two of us and I have to say we were both impressed from start to finish. The food is absolutely delicious to the point that I'd say it's the best Indian restaurant we've ever been to and we've lived in the area for years. So glad we believed the hype as it more than lived up to our expectations. Will be booking a table for my birthday soon!

We say…
Lime is a family-run Indian restaurant: recommended in the 2016 Michelin Guide , this Nuthall, Nottingham location prides itself on serving authentic Indian cuisine in comfortable and contemporary surroundings. Through years of experience, vision and a true passion for food, Lime is now renowned as one of the city’s favourite Indian restaurants; voted East Midlands Indian Restaurant of the Year 2016 at the English Curry Awards.
Nestled less than three minutes’ drive from Junction 26 of the M1, Lime manages to combine an easily accessible location with enviably calm surroundings: plenty of free customer parking, a convenience which many restaurants are unable to offer, and fantastic food all within fifteen minutes’ drive of the city centre. Able to seat up to 64 diners at any one time, it is as if Lime was tailor-made for hosting large celebrations whilst keeping in mind smaller parties and couples looking for an intimate dining experience. The restaurant remains faithful to its Indian heritage with subtle details and ornaments that blend perfectly with the modern décor, fixtures and fittings. The main feature of the restaurant is the large open kitchen where diners can watch the experienced chefs preparing everything from flame-grilled lamb chops to freshly cooked breads.
The menu at Lime offers a great selection of authentic Indian dishes, all of which are halal, cooked using traditional techniques and presented in keeping with the contemporary feel of the dining room. All dishes are created using only the freshest and finest seasonal ingredients with whole spices being ground daily to create the mouthwatering flavours that have become synonymous with the restaurant’s name. As you would expect, popular favourites such as korma, dopiaza, bhuna and Jalfrezi are all readily available but those who venture out of their comfort zones will be rewarded with a taste sensation! The Chef’s Specials include the Murgh Masala, a medium dish of slow-cooked chicken cooked in a rich sauce of caramelised onions, garlic and ginger; and the Mussalam, a leg of lamb that serves four which is marinated for 24 hours before being cooked in the tandoor, both of which are excellent choices. Finish off your meal with a delicious Indian classic such as Gulab Jamun: syrup balls flavoured with aromatic cardamom and pistachio, or a decadent dessert such as the Boston mud cake, topped with chocolate ganache.
Lime only serve low and non-alcoholic beers and wines but operate a bring your own wine and bottled beer policy with no corkage fee, which not only helps to keep dining costs down but also ensures that diners are able to enjoy their favourite tipple with every meal. Soft drinks and water are readily available and diners are asked not to bring any cans, soft drinks or plastic bottles into the restaurant.
Lime Indian restaurant in Nuthall is one of the finest Indian restaurants in Nottingham. By combining contemporary comforts with traditional touches, this family-run establishment has consistently been a finalist in many of the city’s prestigious award ceremonies including the Nottingham Post's ‘Indian Restaurant of the Year’ and ‘Best Newcomer.’ If you're looking for a flawless dining experience, look no further than Lime.
