The food lacked flavour and was very bland. First, visit and will not go again.

First time visit, staff were friendly and restaurant and facilities excellent. Will use again and recommend to friends and family.

The ambience certainly is not Italian sunshine but the food cannot be bettered. The staff, all Italian, are attentive and always ensure you get what you require. Why go to Italy, just go to La Torre, Coalville.

Superb! Can't add anything to previous reviewa other than, as usual, superb!

La Torre in the heart of Coalville does not have the best outlook (main road and library) but it is the excellent food and friendly service that amkes this place one of my favourite restaurants. I had the 2 course set meal (under £9) of stuffed mushroom, followed bt sea bass and fresh vegetables. I could not have found better at 10 times the price!

As I've said many times, you don't have to go to Italy to enjoy fantastic Italian cooking when you can go to La Torre in Coalville. The restaurant may not have the best views from its windows, but are you there to enjoy the scenery or for the best food around? Our meal was served speedily by two charming waitresses who could not have been more helpful. The food was extremely well cooked sea bass cooked to perfection with the best tiramisu I've ever tasted to follow.

La Torre serves the best Italian food this side of Roma! The staff are friendly and helpful ensuring you food arrives hot and on time whilst giving you time to enjoy the company of your companions between courses. Why go to Italy when you can go to La Torre?

Fantastic service, fantastic food, very friendly staff, six of us dined there and we all agreed that it was a great experience and that we would be coming back. The restaurant was very busy but it was well laid out with plenty of room and dud not feel at all crowded. Food was well presented and all meals tasted excellent. A great Italian experience.

I took my wife here for a birthday dinner and had a wonderful meal with excellent service from very friendly staff. The surroundings were clean and not over-ornate with comfortable seating. Value wise: three course meal, coffee and bottle of wine cost £66 - you can't get better than that for the quality. We'll certainly be going again.

La Torre Coalville is a very charming place - attentive staff, wonderful food and worth the money. No wonder it was busy! Can't wait to bring my family here.

We decided on a whim to come here, what a great decision that was. I had the rack of lamb with mashed potato in red wine sauce and was very impressed. My girlfriend had the penne al salmon, she said it was lovely. I tried it too and she was right! La Torre is great, we will be returning for our two year anniversary soon!

Friendly staff, attentive service, would re-visit.

    Everthing Superb. Thank you!

Visited for the first time a few weeks ago on a recommendation and was really pleased with the food and the service. All in all a very good evening and I highly recommend the seafood pasta.

Delicious food and lovely service. Every time we visit we ask ourselves why we don't visit more often.

    A true taste of Italy!

We say…

Located in the town of Coalville is La Torre, a delightful Italian restaurant run by business partners Gregorio Cottone and Bruno. Easily accessible from junction 22 of the M1 and within easy driving distance of Loughborough and Leicester, it’s the perfect out-of-town escape for foodies and those who just enjoy delicious Italian food.

The dining room combines a purple and white colour scheme with exposed brickwork, highly polished dark wood flooring and pop-art inspired painting of chefs such as Gordon Ramsey and Jamie Oliver adorning the walls. The dining room feels warm and cosy whilst maintaining a sophisticated yet relaxed ambience. La Torre is able to cater for couples all the way to larger parties. The addition of a wall of windows at the front of the venue ensures that the restaurant is light and airy at all times.

With Italian chefs in the kitchen and hosts in the restaurant, La Torre prides itself on offering a true taste of Italy in Leicestershire. Guests are encouraged to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine from the impressive and comprehensive wine list on offer whilst browsing the menu. There is absolutely no compromise on quality when it comes to the food on the menu so you can rest assured that whatever you order will be fresh, authentic and presented beautifully using only the best locally sourced produce wherever possible. Recommendations include the Antipasto All’Italiana, a selection of traditional cured meats with Giardiniera vegetables; Costolette di Angnello. A herb-crusted rack of lamb served with mashed potato and a rich red wine sauce or, for fish lovers, Anelli di Baranzino, a ring of sea bass with French beans wrapped in a lemon crust with a light garlic and white wine sauce.

La Torre Italian restaurant in Coalville is a light and airy contemporary restaurant that suits guests who are looking to dine as a couple all the way up to a table of 70. The attention to detail and desire to ensure patrons enjoy a true taste of Italy makes it one of the most popular restaurants in the area.
