Bar far the best meal I've had in Nottingham. It took weeks to get a table but it was worth it! The quality of the food at La Rock in Sandiacre is absolutely incredible. If you've not been you must go. The only issue is getting a table!

Faultless, flawless and exceptional! Everything was perfect and heard other tables around us saying the same thing. Will not be surprised when this restaurant gets a Michelin Star. Brilliant.

We say…

La Rock is more than a restaurant; it’s a complete dining experience. Tucked away on Bridge Street in Sandiacre, Nottingham, La Rock is a stylish and comfortable venue to spend an evening relaxing and enjoying good food, good wine and good company.

Set back from the main road, but still easily accessible from Junction 25 of the M1 just a five minute drive away, La Rock is the perfect choice for a get-together with friends, an intimate dinner date for two or a grown-up family gathering. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed warmly by a member of staff before being led through the dining room to their table, which is theirs for the entire evening. The entire venue has a rustic charm about it but flashes of modern décor and comforts keep it up to date, sophisticated and comfortable. Antler chandeliers, untreated green oak tables which twist and buckle around black granite panels and polished glassware and cleverly designed tableware all give La Rock a unique sense of life.

The food is designed collaboratively between Head Chef Nick Gillespie, who has over 20 years’ experience in the restaurant industry, and Restaurant Manager Matt Roe, who also has a successful background in cookery. The dup handpick their favourite cooking techniques and recipes to create a lively, innovative and exciting menu. When available you can expect to enjoy perfectly balanced dishes including fillet of Derbyshire beef served with a celeriac puree, mushrooms, shallots, garlic and tomato poivrade; Goosnargh duck breast with a plum and apple puree, bean cassoulet and clove jus; and Cornish sole ‘en pappillote’ accompanied by asparagus, carrots, scallions, Dart Valley Reinchensteiner Veloute and finished with dill and lemon butter.

If you are looking for the ultimate dining experience then we highly recommend a trip to La Rock. Everything the staff do is executed with the customer experience in mind. Trust us, the only complaint you will have is that you didn't visit sooner.
