Absolutely perfect every time we visit. Service is always spot on, fast and unobtrusive and the staff really know what they're serving. The place itself is beautiful and the food is just excellent every time.A real favourite of ours.

We say…

Located on The Strait, just off Steep Hill, you will find Jews House, a European restaurant that, after reopening in 2010 after a fire, is back to full strength offering residents and visitors a beautiful place to eat in Lincoln city centre.

Jews House restaurant is housed within a stunning stone building and as you take a step inside, guests will find that Jews House is just as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. The entire restaurant is bathed in soft mood lighting, creating an intimate and relaxing ambience suitable for any occasion. With a selection of dining rooms, guests are able to choose whether they are seated in the main dining room which boasts exposed stone walls, a cream colour scheme, and a cosy atmosphere; in the ‘library’, a light and airy dining room with intricate wallpaper depicting shelves full of books; or in the ‘Tudor Room’, a small sunflower yellow room that is sunny and perfect for private dining parties. Whatever the occasion and mood, there is a room at the Jews House restaurant to suit your requirements.

Jews House offers diners an exciting collection of menus that showcase perfectly cooked European cuisine. With some British classics alongside Spanish and French dishes, even the fussiest eater will find something to enjoy. The a la carte menu offers creations such as confit belly pork served with a Morcilla sausage roll, potato puree and an apple and sage jus alongside roast fillet steak wrapped in lardo with 48 hour cooked short rib of beef with a celeriac cream, baked potato with truffle and parmesan. A tempting tapas menu is also available for snacking on at lunch and for a special occasion, the six course tasting menu is highly recommended.

Whether you are looking to recharge your batteries before climbing Steep Hill or are celebrating a special occasion, Jews House restaurant in Lincoln is a beautiful restaurant that will act as the perfect backdrop for an enjoyable meal, any time of the day.
