Two of us dined on the vegetarian menu. The food was very good value for money and the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable.

Fabulous experience eating at Jamie’s, food delicious, staff spot on , couldn’t fault it

The meal was simply delicious with fab service. I had a voucher for Christmas to spend. Will go again definitely

Fantastic ambience and brilliant service. Thank you very much !

    Quite expensive but very tasty

Food was very nice and the service was very good, had to share a small dining room with a very young family and ambience was lively rather than relaxed but we have all been there. Would recommend the food and won’t be put off.

The food wasn't at the standard we excepted. The chicken was dry and not very much of it, my husband had a burger and he thought the bun was stale. We didn't stay for desert as we wasn't sure if they would be any better for the price. The service was great and the drinks were nice. Over all a bit disappointed.

Staff very smiley and friendly. Food was lovely.

    Very nice food.

Lovely food. Service ok, but weren’t told about any specials etc.

Jamie Oliver’s Italian- our 1st visit here also my very 1st rewiew of a restaurant. It’s kind of shabby chic inside ,with nice ambient lighting . I’d say dress code is more casual and relaxed.
The best thing about the restaurant is the staff , nothing is too much trouble acting both professional and polite.
Unfortunately the food let it down, I’d ordered lasagna with a side of fries also a garlic bread to share .
The garlic bread had to be sent back as it had no garlic on it .
The lasagna was both small with less meat than you can imagine ( I thought I’d ordered from the vegetarian menu)
I felt quite sorry for the excellent staff having to keep apologising for the food
We left a little disappointed as we thought the food would of been better

Delicious meal and very friendly service.

Excellent lunchtime meals with attentive, pleasant waiters, would certainly visit again.

New Years Eve supposedly special meal was very disappointing to put it mildly. The starter was a very uninteresting cold meat platter with a few olives on it, we chose the chicken for the main course, which was nicely cooked and tasty, but everything that came with it was covered in cheese, so I had to send that lot back, and settle for some frites, the desserts that were supposed to be on this special menu, seemed unavailable, so they gave us something else, but not until it turned up at the table did we find out, my brother ordered the panatone with the vanilla ice cream, and received a supposedly pavlova, which consisted of a flat piece of meringue with about 5 cherries scattered on the top, they then brought the panatone, which resembled and tasted like a Walls Arctic Roll but worse. My dessert again was not what I ordered, and quite frankly I have know idea what it was, but after trying this chocolate sponge thing, I left it. The white wine was warm, and at £11 a glass, I was not very happy. They did refund the wine, but then charge me for the extra dessert, which we didn't order. If Jamie is going to put his name to these places, he needs to get his act together.

The food was fabulous. Shared meat platter was fresh & tasty. Mains were delicious and no complaints. Service was just right , not too intrusive but warm & friendly. Never disappointed at Jamie’s.

We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was good.

    Great food, brilliant service.

Was disappointed with the food was expecting better quality etc for it being Jamie Olivers

The vegetarian pasta dishes were delicious! Our server was lovely & attentive without being intrusive. All 4 of us really enjoyed it.

Used gold card and voucher cloud which meant 4 two course meals were £44. Introduced my mum and her 2 friends to Jamie Oliver’s and they loved it! No tiramisu available but we were offered full menu of desserts to replace. The waitress and manager were lovely (spoke to the manager as they approached me because I was gluten free). Fantastic respite from Christmas shopping

    Beautiful food, excellent service.

We had a fabulous meal and a great bottle of wine. Nice menu, great service, friendly and welcoming staff and a wonderful atmosphere. Made a great start to a rare evening out.

We were seated upstairs which was a bit chilly and lacked much atmosphere. After ordering two pizzas and sides we waited about 30 minutes before asking if there was a problem as people who’d been seated after us were receiving their food.
The waitress was incredibly polite and friendly and sorted the delay, although there was a big gap between each meal being bought to the table, which was a shame. The food was delicious and great value. Just a shame about the slow service.
I will definitely go back as I’m sure it’s a one off and the vegetarian choices are fab.

Good quality food although portion a little small for the cost

    Very pleasant

    It was ok.

Food was really good. Ambience and Devore was good. Food value was good, but wine was not. Service was a bit slow.

    Could have had better! Amazing.

    Lovely meal.

    Steak was lovely

Brilliant meal wine a bit expensive but would go again!

Had the £11.95 two courses. Starter was one slice of overdone bruschetta wit pate. The pate was very nice and plenty of it. Carbonara for main. Hardly any pancetta and very bland but plenty of it.

Lovely meal for my Wife and I on our date night, waitress was very attentive, service was at a comfortable pace, it’s a lovely building and tastefully decorated in the building period. A first class evening.

New menu is excellent, service was also excellent.

Everything fine service a little slow didn’t want you to have special 2course menu had to ask for it then waitress asked if we wanted the change from the bill

    Fabulous meal and courteous staff

Really lovely meal and the staff member serving us was bubbly and helpful. Would recommend it!

Quality ingredients which was very tasty

This was my first visit and I was very impressed, the service was brilliant as was the food, I will definitely be back.

My calamari starter was lukewarm and very very small... the main meal was better but nothing amazing! :( no alcoholic cocktails were delicious.

We arrived bang on time and our table was ready straight away, the staff were lovely and very attentive and polite, the menu was great with plenty of options to catered for everyone.
Our food came in a time manner and we weren’t rushed like some restaurants to get in and out!
    Our food was delicious!

Top marks for the whole evening!
Thank for making our visit so special and we will come back again soon ??

    Lovely meal and great atmosphere.

Lovely meal- great value for money.

    Excellent service.
Waiter fantastic also front of house so welcoming.
    Will definitely be back.

My meal was lovely, garlic bread to start and vege Bolognase for main, my boyfriend had the flash steak and it was swimming in oil he couldn’t even eat it. The service was not good at all which was a shame as the garden and atmosphere was lovely!

Great food, just a bit expensive for what you get. Was very busy which we appreciate, but the service was overall friendly and the food was good (: would visit again.

The food was delicious & presentation great . Staff were very helpful & accommodating. Atmosphere was Great. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Food was great. Very reasonably priced.

Enjoyed my Chicken Burger but wife’s steak a bit tough.
We were on a Groupon deal and menu limited but a wider choice would have been appreciated.
    Staff excellent.

Pleasant atmosphere, good service, tasty food. What more could you ask for!

A treat for my daughters 30th who has just been diagnose with MS. Lifted her spirit as she was extremely impressed by the wonderful food and friendliness of staff. Thank you X

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, staff were incredible and always there when you wanted them without hovering behind you. They really made it their mission to ensure we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. And the food was faultless. Ooh fantastic coffee too. Even purchased some to bring home. Definitely will go again. And soon.

The food was nice and worth the money given the extra paid for the Jamie Oliver name. The ambience was good thankfully as we are in the restaurant for quite a while as the service was very slow. We had to ask where our meals were, a drink waiter spilt drink into a glass of water and didn't offer to replace it.

The room we were in was very noisy. Whilst I appreciate the restaurant caters for families, the room wasn't conducive to accommodate noisy children along with loud music. The music should have been background music so that it didn't conflict with noisy families. Food was great, service great and staff very friendly and helpful. Thank you for our first experience at Jamie's Italian but we won't be rushing back.

Booked for valentines, arrived and was standing out in the rain for ten minutes by the reception was full and only allowed it one booking at a time we arrived ten minutes early and we're seated twenty minutes late behind later arriving guests who booked at the same time we then waited forty-five minutes for starters and it was a further 40 minutes for dinner because they made a mistake with the order they offered us another glass of the wine we were drinking as compensation but sent the cheaper stuff we had not been drinking. I was very disappointed in the service and doubt i'll be returning.

We had the set menu. The prime steak was a big disappointment it was thin & tough. Expected the steak to be served with chunky home made CHIPS but had to have skinny fries instead. The meal was tasty or filling & we ended up eating again when we got no. Big disappointment, maybe we based our expectations too high of the place. Was supposed to be a birthday celebration but it the food & cold dining area didn't make it feel special in any way I'm afraid.

Excellent service , everyone about from myself enjoyed their meal , mine unfortunately was overcooked . The chicken was burnt at the bottom and was very tough to eat , but unfortunately I did not complain at the time as I did not want to spoil the day .

Arrived at Jamie’s Nottingham for our anniversary meal and was told they were a little behind with the table and to go for a drink in the bar. No problem with that as these things happen, the bar was absolutely heaving with people (also waiting for their tables) so finally got served 20 minutes later, ordered two cocktails and the bartender had to first fetch clean glasses which took another 5 minutes, then black currant juice - another 5 minutes. She was very apologetic and polite but the bar service was farsical due to the sheer volume of people waiting for tables. We eventually got our cocktails and were shown to our table (on the very top floor up 3 flights!) we were placed on a tiny table in a small echoey room of which the centrepiece was a table of eight 20 something men who were planning a stag weekend for one of them. They seemed nice lads don’t get me wrong but they were so so loud in this echoey room that my wife and I could not hear one another talk or indeed the waiter. At the time of booking we clearly stated that this was our anniversary and requested a “nice table”.

Next came the food, I ordered steak with skinny fries, my wife ordered seafood ravioli with a side of sweet potato fries..... half an hour later the waiter brought my steak which was over cooked and lukewarm at best. No skinny fries but substituted with some lukewarm cremated sweet potato fries.

Still no side for my wife but brought it after she had finished her main course.

Now we are not usually complainers but felt it extremely necessary in this case and to be fair - both the manager and the waiter were very empathetic and apologised halving our bill.

Jamie’s Nottingham is not a place we’ll return to though unfortunately, the atmosphere is more like a canteen than a restaurant.

Service was very good. Food was nice, drinks expensive

Very nice restaurant, service was okay. Bit low getting drinks out and they forgot twice to bring out the jug of water. Food was tasty.

    Lovely meal and setting.

Easy to book. Food and service was lovely.

    Excellent meal and friendly staff.

Lovely meal, great friendly service, such a beautiful building, so many of the period features kept and restored, shame Drury Hill was pulled down!!

First time at Jamie Oliver’s so I was expecting it to be good. The food was very nice, and it arrived quickly.
When I ordered a latte the first was luke warm and very weak, the second was as well, my third one was slightly warmer but not a lot and for me that is a big bear, I like a good quality coffee and this wasn’t so they could do something about that. Also there wasn’t any sugar on the table and I had to ask, and no cutlery. But I would eat their again cause the food was nice.

We had a lovely time, everyone made us welcome, will definitely go again.

Meal was delicious and super tasty.

Excellent food and service was not rushed to move on to next course, so very pleased.

Absolutely loved everything about this experience. Staff were amazing, environment was relaxing, food was tremendous. We would definitely return in the future. Delicious.

Very good service and meal as a gold card member it’s always nice to have a taster before our meal.

Fantastic: it was special birthday meal with my family, everything was perfect.

Visited for the first time and the food was as impressive as expected, I had the crab linguinie & my partner had a pork loin dish & both tasted fabulous, will definitely be recommending & visiting again when in Nottingham.

The choices were so good it took us ages to decide. When we eventually ordered it gave everything it promised, although there was some confusion between two separate Festive menus which led to one of our party not receiving his vegetables. This was noticed too late to rectify but waiter couldn't be more apologetic and we we compensated well when the bill came. Overall the food was excellent and we wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Drink service to table was very slow. Food was really good & good value.

Fabulous - can't wait to go back.

Food good surroundings nice bit overcrowded at first but eased off later on

We had a brilliant time, 6 perfect meals, a great atmosphere, attentive waiter, we’ll be booking again.

We had a lovely meal and very much appreciated a free meal for our 5yr old granddaughter.

Fantastic food with a lovely atmosphere. Will be booking again!

Great food, lovely setting, sometimes had to wait a bit longer for food when it was ready, no one asked how the food was or how we were doing once we were served, otherwise pleasant staff.

Had to show email confirmation to staff as online booking had not been received by restaurant. Staff were quick to sort us out a table at the front of the restaurant on the first floor. Great service, staff very attentive, friendly and professional.

Very good, especially the steaks. Excellent service and quirky setting. Lovely experience!

Excellent food but pricey for what it was.

The food wasn't so great but it was a good night, with great service and the perfect atmosphere in the beer garden. Garlic bread was lovely

On the whole the meal was good though my pasta did look like it had been sat waiting for a while and was not quite as hot as I would have liked. However it tasted great. If you go I would suggest you sit inside as the chairs outside are metal and do not have cushions.

Good food, well cooked and well presented, only downside is there is limited choice.

Good value set menu and great service from our waitress. We were a little early for our booking time and unfortunately had to wait over our booked time and sat in an area on our own but the ambience was still good. My son was given a Graduation Prosecco which was a nice touch

Really friendly good service. Unfortunately several of the dishes on the special offer menu had run out which was surprising and disappointing as our booking was for 7pm, still early in the evening. Otherwise a good experience.

    Very good, would go again!

Excellent, great food, great service, would recommend a visit to this place.

The food was delicious and plentiful. We couldn't all quite manage to eat everything because we were full and not because of the food. The restaurant was very busy with a lively atmosphere. The service was well paced for us as we are a group of friends who like to meet to catch up with news. We waited quite a while for our dessert - fine for us - and were rewarded with an extra panne cotta to share. Loved it all.

The food portions were huge, really lovely, would definitely go back to Jamie's!

Although the food was good and reasonably priced, it took a good half hour for someone to take our order. The waitress was very personable and did apologise when she realised she had forgotten about us. Initially we were given a table downstairs but asked to be moved as it was like a crèche. Upstairs quiet and far more pleasant .

The staff were friendly at Jamie's. Lovely surroundings and high quality ingredients!

Pasta was cold, the piece of lamb was minute but very tasty just not enough of it. Staff were very good and pleasant

Midweek meal, everything OK nothing to complain about but nothing to rave over. It is what it is.

A very tasty meal! Staff were great and really helpful.

I came here with low expectations after being dragged out by the wife. Happy to say proved wrong. Everything tastes great, excellent service , and the 2 course dinner deal is spot on.

Really enjoyed the experience, the food was great and service friendly with attentive staff. Great cocktails afterwards. Will definitely be back.

Everything was good at Jamie's Italian but there was no atmosphere in the front room we were situated in.

We had a lovely evening, fully recommend!

    Thank you

The meal and service we received at Jamie's Italian was outstanding. Very good value for money. We will defiantly be coming back with our family!

Food was excellent, the spin on an Italian classic with a Jamie twist worked really well. For those with limited mobility be aware that this restaurant is on three levels and the upper levels are accessed by fairly narrow staircases - something we will bear in mind when booking future tables.

Lovely meal last night at Jamie's! Thank you

The starter was excellent and different. The main course which was a burger and chips was just an expensive ordinary burger. The beer none on draught so they can charge what they like small 330ml bottle lager £4.20 and a local 500ml bottle of beer £5.25 rip off

My husband and I had the Festive Feast menu at Jamie's Italian Nottingham on December 23rd. It was delicious. We could not fault any part of the food or service. Absolutely brilliant!

We have wanted to go Jamie's since it opened and it was definitely worth the wait! Cheered our wet Saturday right up! We were greeted at the front door by a lovely young girl who advised of a waiting time and got us settled with some drinks before taking us upstairs to a lovely little room with plenty of space between all the tables. The steak was cooked perfectly and my mushroom pasta was gorgeous! We are kicking ourselves that we waited this long to visit and will definitely be returning.

We say…

Jamie’s Italian Nottingham could not be located in a better place. Situated in Nottingham’s cool Lace Market district, just down the road from the Nottingham Contemporary art gallery, it fits right into the already well-established wining and dining scene. Jamie’s Italian is situated within a stunning building that includes a basement of caves and colour themed dining rooms that set this restaurant apart from other Italian’s in the city.

As well as serving fantastic Italian cuisine, Jamie is keen to portray and embrace the ideology of 'feeling Italian,' replicating the ambience and slow pace of dining to ensure you have a great night. Jamie's Italian is now firmly cemented within the Nottingham restaurant scene yet people are still very keen to visit and see for themselves how close Jamie Oliver has come to realising his dream.

On the menu you will find rustic Italian dishes that reflect the true flavours of Italy that have been loved and refined for years. The Antipasti is in a league of its own, with planks offering cured meats, cheeses in a whole rainbow of fresh, vibrant colours. The mains celebrate homemade pasta dishes such as the classic Tagliatelle Bolognese with more unusual dishes such as Jamie's octopus ravioli comprised of octopus and squid ink in a shellfish and tomato sauce, topped with Devonshire crab. There is also a superb range of meat, fish and seafood dishes including our favourite the grilled chicken under a brick. This delicious number is made from free range chicken with fresh basil pesto, rocket and lemon. The new veggie and vegan menu features an exciting range of delicious meals- our favourites are, the tomato bruschetta to start, followed by genovese pesto gnocci made with basil pesto, cherry tomatoes, veggie parmesan and drizzled in extra virgin olive oil. If you have any room left, try a delicious Italian dessert such as the epic tiramisu.

In addition to the striking location and exquisite menu you will find a superb selection of wines, cocktails, bottled beers, spirits and soft drinks. Jamie’s Italian is more than ideal for any special occasion or a romantic night out
