Really good selection of food and really went out of the way for my wife who is gluten & lactose intolerant, we will be back.

Hatton Arms always delivers. My only complaint is the size of the starters. They’re delicious but too big! I never finish my main course which is a shame because they have a good chef.

Another Fab meal at The Hatton Arms, along with the great service and value we will return for the Sunday Dinners!

Love this place. Great service food and atmosphere. Nothing is to much trouble and they go out of their way to accommodate any requests

Again excellent food and service, can't recommend this place highly enough. looking forward to returning for Mothering Sunday

Excellent service and food. So lunch so we are returning for mothering Sunday.

It was easy to reserve a booking. I went with my childhood friend that I hadn't been in touch for over 30 years. We had a lovely meal and catch up. The young waiter was exceptional. We had a lovely relaxing evening. She was very impressed with the Hatton.

The two of us were highly delighted with our meals. My partner had a delicious vegetarian meal and I had traditional battered fish and chips. The service was excellent too

Lovely meal and good service. Much enjoyed by all!

Our friends from Australia were impressed by the courtesy of the staff, the quality of the food and the general overall experience. It was a last minute booking that was handled efficiently.

The meal was excellent would highly recommend!

Fish and chips for two people at £10.00, a pair of excellent Pedigrees followed by the test match, what isn't there to like?

Great value fish and chips on Fridays, the pedigree kept well, perhaps too well!

Excellent food, value for money and great beer!

Had a lovely Sunday Lunch. Meat was beautifully cooked. Will definitely go back!

Great food, great service and lovely surroundings. I will definitely be returning to The Hatton Arms. Thank you

Prompt delivery of meals, all menu items available, good friendly service, no rushed through the meal, vfm wines and coffee.

Excellent food and service. What a lovely place to relax after a day out at Rockingham race circuit. Defiantly be our local if we are in the area.

A beautiful old pub with some lovely British dishes to classic pub-grub. Stunning dining area with the exposed brickwork, very attractive place with some stunning views of the Welland Valley. Truly was spoilt for choice.

Amzing little place in a picture perfect setting. Sat in the bar after a good meal and enjoyed some of the cask ales, all very pleasant and well priced. We will be back!

We say…

Tucked away on Arnhill Road in the pretty village of Gretton is The Hatton Arms pub and restaurant. The second oldest public house in Northampton, this venue dates back to the 14th century and is steeped in history. Conveniently located just 3 miles north of Corby and five miles from Uppingham, The Hatton Arms is a restaurant that can be enjoyed by everyone, not just the locals.

The Hatton Arms has long been at the heart of the community but husband and wife team, Julie and Neil, offer a warm welcome to all. The duo are proud of their venue which features a traditional pub to the front and a restaurant to the rear which offers panoramic views across the unspoilt Welland Valley. With exposed brick walls and wood panelling in the dining room, the Hatton Arms offers diners a warm and rustic atmosphere where they can enjoy time with loved ones and tuck in to a delicious meal. The bar and lounge area features wooden beams on the ceiling, a brick fireplace, upholstered church pews and pewter tankards hanging above the bar. The interior is completely in keeping with the heritage of this stunning building, whilst being simultaneously stylish.

With Julie at the front of house and Neil in the kitchen, dining at The Hatton Arms is an incredibly pleasant experience. Serving classic British dishes as well as no-nonsense pub grub, you are guaranteed to find something to tickle your taste buds. Start with the delicious smoked mackerel rarebit on granary toast or the chicken liver parfait served with roasted tomato chutney and toasted ciabatta. For mains, favourites include the classic 'pedigree' beer battered cod with chips, mushy peas and chunky tartar sauce, also available for veggies with halloumi instead of fish. There's also an excellent Sunday lunch menu available, featuring slow roasted belly pork and roasted breast of chicken, following by delicious desserts such as the white and dark chocolate mousse cake served with honeycomb ice cream.

With easy access to Rutland Water and the Harringworth Viaduct, The Hatton Arms in Gretton makes for a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. With delicious food, a great location and a stunning interior, you'll leave planning your return!
