First time diners to the hallmark brassiere and we were very impressed
The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough to make you feel looked after
The meal was very good couldn’t fault it
The only negative was, they need to update the website as it’s still showing curry night etc which at the moment they don’t do.

I could not believe that we got such a lovely meal in a lovely hotel for a very reasonable price. Service was excellent from start to finish. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a lovely family meal together in a relaxed atmosphere.

Took my wife for a birthday lunch, really nice food with a friendly and attentive service. Will definitely go again to the Brasserie restaurant.

We say…

Situated just a stone’s throw from Derby Rail Station is the Hallmark boutique hotel that has been lovingly restored by its current owners and now acts as a home to the beautiful Hallmark Brasserie. The hotel’s location just off London Road, makes it the ideal base from which to explore the city of Derby, enjoy a pre-theatre bite to eat, have a sophisticated dinner with friends or catch up with family.

Offering well-executed European cuisine with a few British classics thrown in for good measure, diners will find themselves charmed by the combination of delicious food, first class service and sophisticated ambience. Using only the finest ingredients, the kitchen team create incredibly tasty food at very reasonable prices which even includes a selection of small tapas dishes which are available in the early evening and acts as the perfect accompaniment to a pre-dinner drink.

The menu itself is extensive and offers dishes to suit every taste with starters including the chicken liver parfait, a smooth homemade parfait infused with brandy and red wine and served with dark ale chutney and warm artisan sourdough bread. The mains are equally as tempting, such as the Severn and wye valley smoked trout fillet served with Mediterranean style vegetables, balsamic and lemon infused oil, or the tagliatelle with meatballs, slow braised in tomato sauce.

Guests who appreciate a good bottle of wine will also be delighted with the impressive wine cellar that offers something to suit just about every palette as well as offering a broad selection of affordable house wines.

The Hallmark Brasserie at Hallmark Hotel in Derby offers guests superb food and a sophisticated yet relaxed place to wine and dine with friends or family.
