Lovely meal, great staff. We’ll visit again.

Very good service, delicious food and authentic flavours!

Delicious food and attentive staff. Would recommend, The Gurkha Kitchen is a gem of a place.

    Lovely food.

Very nice traditional meal - loved it !

Very nice food, very friendly staff, brilliant atmosphere.

A friendly welcome by the staff awaited our arrival at The Gurkha Kitchen. They were also very attentive but without being invasive. The food was lovely and hot and plenty of it. We went early on a Friday evening so it was nice and quiet but this did not mean the place felt empty because it did not. The only thing I would say that is not fully positive is the lighting made it difficult to read the menu. Other than that a good time was had by all 4 of us at this lovely, welcoming restaurant. We will definitely go back again.

Lovely meal, first time here will go again. Would recommend this restaurant fresh and very tasty.

Brilliant food with lovely friendly staff!

I loved it, it's an amazing dining experience at the Gurkha Kitchen, food is so good, we will return again soon.

It was a very quiet Thursday evening at The Gurkha Kitchen when we went but we made our own ambiance. This was the first time we'd been here but we will be back. Everything we ordered was fantastic, very tasty and hot (heat not necessarily spice). All 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The service was really good, whether it goes down a bit when they are busy I wouldn't know but I suspect the people will still be as friendly and as helpful.

We visited The Gurkha Kitchen for the Sunday buffet and have been several times. The food has been excellent every time - the Peshwari Nans are the most amazing I have ever tasted! All the food is freshly cooked and very tasty. It is excellent value for money and the service has always been very good too.

I'd definitely recommend this place - there's a large car park, so very convenient.

Brilliant food and great place, would definitely go again !

We had a lovely evening for my birthday and everyone was happy with the meal. The naan bread was particularly good. I have been to india and nepal many times and I thought the Nepalese food was very indian and not tradition Nepalese cuisine which was disappointing but never the less it was still tasty.

We had a fantastic meal ,service was great and the price was genuine, will go their again when in the Nottingham area. Many thanks to th staff! HH

First time and it was exceptional. Highly recommend!

Could not fault The Gurkha Kitchen at all, friendly service, great food and reasonable prices. The best curry we've had in a while.

It was a really lovely experience. The food was delicious and the waiters were very helpful and attentive.

Excellent food. Very authentic. Will definitely go again. Thanks

Excellent food. Very authentic. Will definitely go again. Thanks

Once again lovely meal and overall experience.

Excellent meal with super friendly staff and service. Great value for money at Gurkha Kitchen.

Once inside this restaurant it was like we'd been transported to the Himalayan foothills! The food was beautifully presented with surprisingly complex flavours. The service, ambience and value are all 5-star. Can't wait to go again.

I went in a party of six. We all ordered different dishes - everyone's was cooked perfectly. The staff was extremely courteous, not intrusive but on hand if needed.

I took my friend for a birthday meal yesterday for her first Gurkha Kitchen experience. The welcome was, as usual, very warm and friendly. We were directed to our seats and asked what drinks we would like. Our waiter then explained what we needed to do for our buffet meal. The food was just a wonderful as the regular menu and after having a little of the starter selection, we then had a varied choice of several dishes for the mains, ranging from mild and creamy to something with a little more heat to it. A lovely couple of hours spent eating this gorgeous food with great service and we will definitely be back again soon.

Over all a nice place to eat. Food is fab and will be back. Service a little slow. Was cold in the restaurant.

Fantastic Indian and Nepalese food, genuinely some of the best I have ever had. Great ambiance too, the interior is a fascinating mix of traditional English pub and Buddhist temple.

We say…

The Gurkha Kitchen is the only restaurant in Nottingham to serve authentic Nepalese cuisine. Situated in Wollaton, a short drive from Wollaton Hall and Park, The Gurkha Kitchen is a vibrant and welcoming restaurant perfect for a meal with family or friends. Alongside giving customers a whole new experience, they also offer a selection of Indian dishes so everyone will be familiar with something on the menu if they are not eager to try something a bit different.

The menu provides a list of ingredients so that you know exactly what you're ordering, and can get an idea of the flavour and texture of the dish, as well as whether it will be spicy or not. This is a handy and insightful addition to the menu and makes people feel more relaxed and comfortable in ordering something they may not have heard of or tried before. One of their most popular dishes is the Nepali Special which is recommended by the restaurant themselves, and it contains mildly spiced chicken with tomatoes, peppers and a creamy onion sauce.

It is not just the informative and extensive menu which gives the restaurant such a good reputation; the warm and friendly vibe that exudes from both the staff and the setting itself creates the perfect evening out. With colourful tablecloths to match the array of colourful dishes, it’s hard not to feel enchanted by the décor and the effort that has been put into making the customers feel right at home: chef Andeep is more than happy to tweak each order to suit certain preferences. This level of hospitality is rare to find, and definitely makes the restaurant stand out from the rest.

The emphasis on authenticity to provide genuine Nepalese and Indian cuisine makes The Gurkha Kitchen Nottingham a real treat. Get your booking in today!
