We say…

The Exeter Arms is a traditional British pub situated in the heart of Rutland, in the quaint village of Barrowden. It’s easily accessible via London Road, the A603, from areas north and south of the village, and is reached similarly effectively by the A47 if you find yourself east or west of the village. Thus, wherever you’re located the Exeter Arms is a fantastic excuse to head into the countryside for a real British pub meal.

The Exeter Arms has undergone extensive refurbishments to help re-establish the true rural character of this beautiful pub that just so happens to be in an exceptional location! The new owners aspire to provide customers with impeccable service by demonstrating warmth, graciousness and professionalism

The menu here is packed with family favourites, so there’ll be something for everyone. Start off with a delicious ham hock terrine, or go for the Scottish oak smoked salmon, toasted croute, hollandaise & a soft poached egg. For your main course, opt for hand cut 8oz rib eye steak or if you fancy something more classic, go for the beer battered fish served with hand cut chips, garden peas & homemade tartar sauce. If you’re after a vegetarian option, we’d recommend the wild mushroom & courgette frittata served with new potatoes & mixed leaf salad.

The Exeter Arms in Barrowden, Rutland, is a failsafe option for lunch or dinner with your loved ones, as the food is perfectly British and the staff will ensure you have a wonderful experience.
