Unbelievable experience from start to finish. Cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. Best Indian food we have EVER tasted

Lovely clean food at Everest Dine, not overly oily like curry's from a lot of other place. Polite, and attentive service that was never in your face. Very difficult to criticize anything.

Everest Dine is a really lovely restaurant, a very extensive, unusual menu. The staff were helpful and attentive without being intrusive and the food was gorgeous.

Great food - best biryani I've ever had. Both of us were pleased. Recommend you try Everest Dine!

Having visited this restaurant in its previous guise (The Moonrise) and not much enjoyed it, we thought we’d give the new owners a try. It was 6.30pm on a Tuesday and we (2) were the only customers eating in, so ambience and service are difficult to score. The quality of the food was good, with the most impressively presented starter I have ever been served in such a restaurant. Dips with the popadoms were very bland and pretty tasteless, but easy to put right. Although you love it or hate it, lime pickle is mandatory! Main course portions at first looked a bit light, but turned out to be just right for us. No sweet, just filter coffee to round off. At a total of £56 for two people, two courses + coffee, this is a bit high by local standards, although the overall quality was better than average. Beer at £4 per pint and house wine at £5 per glass didn’t exactly help. We’d certainly book again, more frequently if the bill was smaller.

We say…

Situated on Hollier’s Walk in Hinckley, Everest Dine is an oasis of Indian cuisine. The restaurant is just a 2 minutes’ walk from the Britannia shopping centre, making it the perfect venue to meet with friends and enjoy a fine Indian feast.

Everest began as a single restaurant in Leicester city centre, believing in the strong philosophy "to provide Quality Food, Exceptional Service and Outstanding Value with Modern, comfortable and relaxed surroundings". It was voted the ‘Best Indian & Nepalese Restaurant in Leicester’ by Leicester Mercury in 2012 and 2013. Due to its success, the managers became interested in opening a second restaurant in Hinckley to showcase more of its diversity and talents.

Like its sister restaurant, Everest offers authentic Gurkha Nepalese cuisine. The kitchen serves only the freshest ingredients cooked and crafted by Indian chefs who have an abundance of knowledge about North Indian dishes. On the main menu you will find a selection of carefully-prepared dishes including tandoori specials, masala favourites and mouth-watering mixed grills. Ingredients are locally sourced and blended together with a mix of flavoursome herbs and spices to form traditional Indian recipes with a modern twist. Since the dishes are so mouth-watering, they offer generous portions for a more-than-fair price.

So if you are looking for an authentic taste of India in relaxing, warm and friendly surroundings, we highly recommend  a visit to Everest Dine in Hinckley. With highly-trained chefs and a menu that rivals the rest, you won’t be forgetting this restaurant in a hurry!
