Had the garlic mushrooms for starter which was delicious, and my partner had the prawn cocktail which she enjoyed too. We love fajitas so decided to both try them and were not disappointed - will definitely be returning to El Paso soon,

Such a good restaurant! It doesn't look very big from the outside and it isn't but this gives it a really cosy feeling. The music, food and service is all excellent and I look forwards to going again. Thanks to Go dine for introducing me to El Paso!

We booked a large party at El Paso and arranged to have to have the private dining room upstairs. We had a great night, plenty of food on the set menu and a fair amount of Sambuca consumed! All in all a great night and would have no problems recommending.

We say…

El Paso is an intimate, independently-run, city centre restaurant that offers residents and visitors alike a fantastic selection of authentic Mexican and Italian dishes. Just a short walk from Sheffield Hallam University and the Orchard Square Shopping Centre, El Paso is a popular venue for dining in the city centre.

Having been in business for over 20 years the restaurant has recently undergone a refurbishment, transforming it into a modern and contemporary space. Complete with exposed brick walls, comfortable leather seats and plenty of Mexican paraphernalia adorning the walls including sombreros and canvases covered in lively Latin American inspired prints, El Paso is a vibrant and exciting venue with a buzzy ambience. There are two floors to the restaurant, with the downstairs seating up to 30 covers and a first floor dining room that is opened during busier periods that would be perfect for parties including birthdays and other celebrations. Smaller groups and couples will find that they are equally as well catered for, with the atmosphere and friendly staff ensuring that every visit is thoroughly enjoyable.

The menu offers a selection of classic Italian and Mexican dishes, all prepared to order using fresh herbs and spices to create flavourful  and punchy plates of food. Each dish has a unique El Paso twist to it, for example the Bolognese has a beautiful, fragrant, oregano finish to it whilst the Mexican enchiladas have a fiery, chilli kick to them. There is also a good variety of vegetarian dishes available, which some restaurants can overlook, such as Vegetarian Burritos packed with onions, mushrooms, garlic, chillies, spinach and red beans; or Crespelle ‘El Paso’ filled with lovely veg and topped with tomatoes and white sauce and sprinkled with cheese.

If you like your meal with a little personality, look no further than El Paso in Sheffield city centre. Not only is the food delicious but the staff are friendly and will ensure that you leave with a big smile on your face, and maybe a shot of tequila or two in your belly.
