We say…

Awarded two AA Rosettes and winner of the prestigious ‘Derbyshire Restaurant of the year award 2012’; the Dovecote offers an unsurpassed dining experience. Accomplished Head Chef Nigel Steward presents the finest English and Continental cuisine à la carte.

Only the freshest, locally sourced produce is selected to create inspired seasonal dishes. The Dovecote offers a set menu for lunch, an à la carte dinner menu and an excellent traditional Sunday luncheon.  The lunch menu includes dishes such as ‘Duo of Derbyshire Pork’ served with a selection of vegetables. For dinner, expect harmoniously balanced, clean flavours such as ‘Lightly spiced roasted baby monkfish with cauliflower purée, shallot jam and saffron potatoes.’ Vegetarian diners will be pleasantly surprised with the available choices. Everybody likes a good pudding; the skilled pastry chef combines familiar flavours with flair to create fine deserts such as ‘Rhubarb jelly, buttermilk panacotta, rhubarb sorbet and ginger parkin crumb,’ or you might like to try one of the deliciously decadent creations in chocolate.

The Dovecote is housed in the old farmstead attached to nearby Morely House. The interior boasts original high oak beams and exposed brickwork with more than a touch of refinement. Recently refurbished, this Morley Hayes’ popular signature restaurant has an intimate conservatory waiting area.

As an award winning restaurant, the Dovecote offers exemplary service and customer care. The Dovecote Restaurant will attend to your special dietary needs and can adapt any dish on the menu to your liking. An ideal venue for candle-lit dinners, family celebrations or entertaining business clients, the restaurant is set within the exquisite grounds of the Morley Hays Hotel with stunning views of the championship golf course and the Peak District.
