Dhaka Deli is situated along Narborough Road in the centre of the city of Leicester. It’s just minutes from parks such as Westcotes Park, as well as the central shopping districts of Leicester and plenty of bars, cafes and pubs. So, whether you want a great dinner before heading home after a day in town, or choose to eat here before continuing on to a bar or pub, Dhaka Deli is divine.
Inside, you’ll find a tastefully decorated dining space, bedecked in pretty hanging lights with a vibrant orange colour scheme. The overall impression is that of an Indian palace, so you’ll feel transported as soon as you enter. You can choose to sit at one of the many tables covered with white tablecloths, or relax in the sofa area while waiting to be seated. This restaurant is perfect for any size of group, couple to office party, and you’ll be well catered for.
You’ll be spoilt for choice by the yummy food that the menus offer. From vegetarians to meat lovers, those who like spice and those who want it mild, there’s something for everyone here. Allow the waiters to recommend their favourite dishes to you, too, and don’t be afraid to try new dishes, as you’ll love everything on offer. Start with a succulent garlic chicken puri, or a crispy onion bhaji, which will whet your appetite for the main course. We’d advise ordering a few and sharing so you can sample others on offer, so choose wisely. We love the chef’s own recipe of Dhaka DeliSpecial, developed by the expert Bengali head chef. This lamb mince curry can be made to any strength, and is fragrant and fresh while still being satisfying. Order with a freshly baked chapatti bread and a sweet pilau rice.
Dhaka Deli in Leicester is one of the area’s hotspots, and it’s clear why the great food, efficient service and congenial atmosphere is a hit with locals and visitors alike.
