managed to fit us in on a Saturday night, service a little slow but expected as it was packed out. No compromise on food though, desserts were particularly enjoyable.

We say…

The Devonshire Arms at Beeley is a truly stunning public house. Situated in the grounds of the Chatsworth Estate, it oozes with the charm and character that you often find associated with historic inns; it is picturesque and is at the very centre of village life. However, there is a contemporary twist as it harbours three very different dining personalities.

The Devonshire arms has been through months of restoration to create a stunning, multifunctional restaurant that can suit any event whilst maintaining some of the original stonework and oak beams. The Brasserie is bright, modern and relaxing whilst the Inn is cosy, homely and inviting. As well as this there is The Malt Vault, an eerily named room that houses the ‘Malt Vault Table’ that can seat up to 8 people and is ideal for a private celebration.

In the kitchen is Alan Hill, an uncompromising Chef when it comes to fresh, seasonal produce, skilled preparation and beautiful execution. With the Chatsworth Estate providing a superb source of fresh ingredients it is no wonder the Alan wants to celebrate it by turning it in to stunning British cuisine that everyone can enjoy.
