We say…

Surrounded by unspoilt countryside and the River Derwent, Darleys Restaurant and Terrace in Darley Abbey is the ideal location for any occasion. Following a full refurbishment in 2009, proprietors Kathryn and Jonathon Hobson are proud of their creation and have enjoyed a huge success that is reflected in their double AA rosettes, recognition in the Good Food Guide for 8 years and Michelin recommendations.

Serving British classics with a modern twist, diners will be treated to a variety of exquisite dishes using fresh ingredients such as the Duo of Pork, Tempura Langoustine, Pear Puree and Perry Sauce and the Fillet of Monkfish, Smoked Mussel and Shellfish Chowder. The menu is updated seasonally which allows diners to experience something new every time they visit.

The interior design reflects the classical cooking; white linen, neutral walls and flashes of red all combine to create a relaxed yet sophisticated feel which is continued through to the al fresco dining area. Outside there is shady decking that brings you right on to the edge of the River Derwent. The white and aqua colour scheme creates a relaxed and sophisticated atmosphere that lets the food do the talking.

At Darleys there is disabled access and booking is highly recommended, particularly for Friday and Saturday evenings.
