We say…

Dalyan is a Turkish and Mediterranean restaurant in Nottingham. Located on Mansfield Road, just up the road from The Golden Fleece, Dalyan is instantly recognisable from its bright red frontage and with pay and display parking across the road or the Victoria Centre car park less than two minutes’ walk away, the restaurant is ideal for those looking to dine out before heading into the city centre to sample the nightlife.

The venue itself is split into two halves, one of which is home to the sit-down dining restaurant whilst the other houses a takeaway. The restaurant is a bright and welcoming and with a large floor to ceiling window to the front is also light and airy and provides the perfect spot for people watching.  The size of the dining room lends itself perfectly to small groups all the way up to larger parties and is ideal for a casual lunch or a dinner date.

Dalyan is one of only two Turkish restaurants in Nottingham and they pride themselves on serving authentic Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine from lunchtime right through to the early hours. Their menu offers an impressive array of traditional and regional dishes from the country which ensures that diners can enjoy a tasty introduction, or acquaintance, with the gourmet cuisine of the exciting and charismatic country. All of the prime cuts of meat are Halal and are cooked over a traditional wood charcoal barbecue to ensure that the maximum flavour is locked in during the cooking process. As well as this there are many traditional fish and vegetable dishes just waiting to be sampled. Recommended dishes include the Kaburpa, grilled, marinated lamb kebabs served with rice; the Dalyan beef special, a fillet steak parcel stuffed with mushrooms, onions and garlic in a special cream sauce, topped with cheese and served with rice; and the hearty vegetable casserole of mixed vegetables cooked in a special sauce and topped with parmesan.

If you are looking to try Turkish cuisine for the first time, or are just looking to recreate an experience that you had abroad, then Dalyan is the place to visit. The authentic cuisine, friendly staff and cosy dining room will transport you miles from Nottingham on a culinary journey across Turkey and the Mediterranean.

    Overall:

Tasty food and really great value for money. We had read bad reviews about it being cold in the restaurant but it was not at all, we were there in early Feb and it was lovely and warm. The staff are super friendly and attentive and we can't wait to go back and try some more dishes.
